It just feels like it has all the hallmarks of something that presents itself as some sort of redefining gaming experience but the result ends up being a bunch half baked systems cobbled together. So many "MMOS looters" have came out and none of them seem to come close to how well Destiny, Warframe and the Devision has done. First decendant is okay but the story is a 1/10 I'm just getting to the endgame at the moment but I do injoy the gameplay of first decendant...for now.

@@thepeps101 Yeah. The only difference is, some Chinese games are actually good games, just with predatory monetization. I enjoy Mihoyo games and over years I did not spend more than 100-150 buck. And every time it was rational decision to buy battle pass or something because I got loads of fun in those. Korean games.. they specifically make everything so complicated, menus on top of menus, story is always trash. Lost Ark at least offered awesome bosses but that game also has one of the hardest paywalls I ever saw.

No melee mechanics shown, jetpack looks more like its only useful for boost jump and dropping in from the heli - No free flight from what we've seen. Not anthem at all movement wise, which is a MASSIVE part of the great feel anthem had.

The thing that Destiny (in my opinion) has over every other game like it, it’s more than just shooting. The Division 1 (I havent played 2) was just killing bullet sponges and moving from cover to cover, wether you’re playing solo or with a team of 4, its the same thing over and over again. Destiny takes it up a big notch by adding puzzles and other stuff you NEED to do, working as a team to actually do something more than just shooting. For me it just makes it a lot more engaging and interesting. Everyone can make a looter shooter, but making something that can compete with the Raids and Dungeons of Destiny 2 is just another level.

Destiny, despite its problems, is a very polished experience. Its lore, gunplay, abilities and pve content can't be found anywhere else. You are right though, that destiny players want something new. But what they want is a direct competitor to destiny. Something that has all the elements that they love about destiny and more. Anthem died pretty much on release. The closest thing we got was Borderlands 3, but that game had the worst writing imaginable. Even though the gameplay was good, the dialogue in that game made you want to kill yourself. Outriders was cool but short-lived. There isn't any game out there that can fill the niche that destiny has. And those games that do try don't have the same quality. The first descendant feels soulless, because it doesn't have an artstyle. On one hand you have a character with her bare ass hanging out and on the other hand you have a fucking panda. And it has audio issues that really stand out. Maybe that's a nitpick because I don't really like the game, tbh I would rather play warframe.

Project LLL has been in the works for a long time. In fact I saw a bit of gameplay of it before I ever heard of Last Descendant. I don't know what PLLL is trying to be, but it looks like fun to me. I enjoy games that mix genres and I'm interested in where it's going. I think a lot of this footage is from a year ago or so, and hopefully when they release new stuff there won't be frame rate drops. I really hope it isn't a Day Before situation but who can tell any more?

For those curious, the Mech appears at 19:34 . And, here's where the main flaw of the game comes out. The game uses a Third-person camera, however, they use a first-person view in the mech. This causes the models of enemies, which are intentional larger because of the third-person view, to dwarf the players viewpoint. Paired with the visual effects, and you cannot see your target half of the time. In other words, the enemies are not designed for a First-person camera.

I'm slowly starting to hate the 'Sleek, sterile futuristic' design of some of these games. I miss the old school crazy, wacky futuristic idea where things had to be over the top and bombastic. Some of the newer titles coming out with the super simple gun design feel like they just didn't finish the gun models and put the game out anyway. I hope we start to see less of this in the future and get more weapon design like in Destiny and Warframe. Would be nice to see more outlier ideas in design rather than the same boxy designs over and over.
