Congrats to Alcaraz! He beat Nadal and Djokovic in back-to-back matches, which is very impressive and definitely not easy to do. I wish Carlos the best in the world. He is another natural born tennis genius. But when Nole loses I can't watch it. I get this every time and worse I can always feel Novak's lost match score in a weird way before the game even starts. It's agonizing ... Anyway Novak also knows how to give his fans a hard time when he loses 2:0 But it was different ... Even when he was losing matches like that. But this kid is great and with his matches against legends of the sport like Nadal and Novak, I really know I'm missing out on some beautiful tennis. But that's how I react when Novak is losing. Maybe in a few years I will be able to see and enjoy this beautiful game played by the greatest. But it is not yet this time ... Greetings to you all 🙂 #novakdjocovic

One of the best matches you'll get too see, for those who watched it live. The atmosphere was absolutely electric...One of the all time greats and the forever anti-hero vs. the giant killer and Spanish hero. The crowd just lapped up this sensational match. Rafa was no where near his best yesterday, but Novak was looking good and solid throughout. But Alcaraz, what a player. He responded with interest to whatever trick the vily Serbian threw at him. Without sounding hyperbolic, only a prime Big 3 or Wawrinka playing lights out, can match or exceed the level of Alcaraz at his best. With the BIG 3 gone, it's going to be open season for the young Spaniard. There's no stopping him...Let's pray for some worthy opponent/s.

@@franckvincent5190 Djokovic will keep winning slams for next 3 years. He lost 2 from his last 60 gs matches. Alcaraz is a beast. He will push Novak to his limits, but I don’t see him beating Novak in slams yet. Djokovic tennis IQ and ability to adapt during the match will prevail in FO. Today Alcaraz played perfect tennis but still 1-2 points decided the match outcome. Alcaraz deserved that win. Djokovic is chess player who will find out how to open the court against Alcaraz, how to dominate from the base line and how to anticipate better this drop shots. Looking forward to Paris and homework of both Rafa and Novak to beat this young beast. Alcaraz mental strength is unbelievable. @@zhichaohong2968 I don't see anyone really talking about it. There were several instances in the match where Novak was dictating the point, but then when the time was necessary to be confident and finish the point, he lets Alcaraz get back in the point with a mediocre finishing shot. Alcaraz has shown that he is a different breed of player already, and that he will absolutely punish any unconfident finishing shot. As the world number one, Novak knows this, and I think it's something Ivanisevic will surely work on with him to beat Alcaraz especially. The biggest example of this was when Novak had break point in the second set (4-4 I think?), where he was dictating the rally and should have been much more confident with that backhand crosscourt. He has such a good backhand, so why isn't he? Novak would have almost definitely won the point if he went for it right there, and most likely would have won the match. Of course, habituation must have played a big role in his inadequate finishing shots since he has been winning slams (2021 especially) playing the same way - since no one else on tour was comparable to Alcaraz now. I'm not saying Novak should start going for winners all over the pace, because it isn't his style - Alcaraz is simply a better shotmaker. What I am saying is that he should be 100% confident when attempting to finish points after dictating.

Wasn’t convinced of the Alcaraz craze till Carlos victory over Novak today at Wimbledon on this Sunday 7/16/23. He’s the real deal. 🎾 I waited to see if Carlos was the warrior they have said of him, and not media hype? He did everything a new champion does to an old established legend like Novak. 🎾🎾🎾There were opportunities for Novak to get over on Carlos in this crucial championship game. Carlos did not allow Novak to gain confidence in getting over critical points. 🎾🎾🎾Carlos stopped Novak like a real champ. Carlos has earned my respect and support. He displayed resolve under pressure against a seasoned wily veteran in one Novak Djokovic, statistically the best ever. 🎾🎾And the funny part: We haven’t seen the best Carlos yet. He’s only recently turned 20 years of age!!! Let that sink in! 🎾🎾Carlos is only gonna become stronger in the next few years. And if he stays on the path of discipline and health……..? ……..we’ll see the best Carlos at 24 years of age till 28 years of age …….🎾🎾Carlos still has masculinity developmental potential to become a much stronger player! This is scary. We witnessed a great Carlos defeating a great Novak right here today. And many of us not realizing this is not a complete Carlos yet. This is a 94% developed Carlos. 🎾🎾Carlos has got a little more room to become sharper in the next 6 years! That’s scary. I truly believe that if Novak hopes to get 27 grand slams he’ll need another player to oust Carlos in a grand slam before potentially meeting Carlos? Novak is gonna need someone to eliminate Carlos in future grand slams and do the dirty work for him. Because I don’t see Novak beating Carlos again in a grand slam? I’m sorry Novak, but Carlos is only gonna be filling out more into a full fledged stronger player which isn’t gonna help your cause. And Novak is slowly declining…….he’s still great with a lot left in him, no doubt, but still on the downswing of life’s currents nonetheless. If Novak beats Carlos again in a grand slam, it wouldn’t be a surprise, because it’s Novak Djokovic. But all I’m saying is don’t be surprised if Novak doesn’t win Carlos again in a grand slam? 🎾🎾I’d say Novak has has two more times to beat Carlos in a grand slam at most? I wouldn’t bet Novak to beat Carlos over two times in all future grand slam championships. Carlos may be the very reason Novak decides retirement soon?

Great game! Carlos never ceases to amaze me, not only with the way he plays but also with his mentality and game intelligence - he almost always has an answer. In moments when the "nxtgen" players mostly fail mentally, he usually brings his best tennis. How many times have we seen "nxtgen" players play insanely well against the Big 3 only to end up mentally falling apart? I'm careful with the comparisons to the Big 3 - it's a very long way from a 19-year-old super talent to such a successful career as Roger, Rafa and Novak had. He must not have bad luck with injuries and must have the necessary motivation and hunger for success for almost 2 decades. At the same time, success must not get into his head. At this moment he seems to combine the qualities of the Big 3: he has Roger's aggressiveness and touch, Novak's backhand and defense, Rafa's heart and humility. He's also an all-court player, which I think sets him apart from 19-year-old Rafa. Novak played better than expected but is not quite at 100% yet. In a 5-set game he will have a mental advantage over Carlos, but it remains questionable whether he can physically endure 5 sets at this top level.
