I like how you can distinguish that it's in fact the ship being dragged under. Rather than just a room filling with water. Many animated sinkings feel as if the ship isn't moving at all. You really get the sense of the ship being pulled beneath the waterline. Excellent work!

This is one of the most haunting and (at the same time) jaw-droppping representations of the sinking of Titanic I've ever seen. The claustrophibic atmosphere, the rising darkness, the echoes of music and the glory of the doomed ship elapsing in minutes... absolutely amazing. Wish and hope this project is a great success and gets widespread attention.

This is so weird... It feels like a hotel, not a ship. To think also, that the decks below will have become immersed in sea water and are already part of the world that awaits them two and a half miles below. Sinking ships are like witnessing the space between life and death, a twilight transition that is compelling yet nightmarish.

You can think also of when the water started flooding the A deck of the grand staircase. Image all the decks below: - the F deck with the swimming pool (at least the only part of the ship that wasn't surprised about sea water), the squash court, the turkish baths, and the 3rd class dining room -the D deck as shown in this simulation with the 1st and 2nd class dining rooms, - the C deck with the barbeshop, the 2nd class reading room and the 3rd class smoking room - the B deck with the A la Carte restaurant, the Café parisien and the 2nd class smoking room. When you see the A deck flooded, imagine all those decks and facilities flooded. Imagine all those marks of luxure and refinement that have already reach their final condition. Meanwhile others look for a seat in one of the life boats amidst the hecticness on the boat deck. I can't wait to see more! The only thing I don't quite understand is the sparks flying off the lights. I don't know how the state of the electricity supply was at 2:00 p.m., but wouldn't the lights just go out? I mean it's really atmospheric, I was just wondering. ;)

This is honestly a good analogy for how depression works. Like the water, it creeps up on you slowly, but eventually it becomes so encompassing that he light in your life fades and any beauty here was is no longer visible because the depression obscures it. And the longer it goes on the more light seems to go out until all you can see is darkness everywhere
@Maring04189 жыл бұрын
It's so sodding eerie, and a direct heart-stopper is the fact that this all happened so fast and yet in real time! Just imagine what it'd be like to be stuck inside Titanic and noticing that your life might end in about 5 minutes... It's been said before, but the water is a bit muddy for being 0° oceanwater. If you happened to reach the final stretchgoal, please try to fix the water just noclipping through everything as the superstructure goes down below it. I don't know how hard it would be or how much it would strain your computer to render physically realistic water, but streams from doors and, of course, water filling up realistically instead of magically appearing in a corner would be awesome.

Okay, wow. Like fifty second in, seeing the water suddenly coming up over the carpets...it brought tears to my eyes instantly. I've seen James Cameron's version, I saw a playthrough of the third demo, and I've watched the real time sinking you guys did, but it never fully occurred to me that water wasn't just slipping past the portholes, that it was fully inside every piece of the ship, inch by inch, devouring and destroying all that beauty and class and history and effort. I watched a documentary about it, and learned something new. The guys who built the ship, they cried when she sank. They put two or more years of their lives into building her, tall and beautiful, and they watched her sail away, and then she was gone. For some reason, I'd never considered that people built her. All the videos show her at Cherbourg or Southampton, already whole. And very few images are from the inside, at least that I've seen, and so watching these is breathtaking. I literally feel like I could reach out and run my hands over the wood carving, hear the waves and smell the sea air, feeling the carpet under my feet. I want to play this game, but...I don't think I could. I'd probably cry, from how beautiful it is, and how it was destroyed.

So you wade through the water, unlock the gate. Crap its stuck, water is up to your chest. Go to a new spot with a new list to end up with a pipe to pry it open. Knowing you just found a crowbar at the last place. Strauss' cufflink is back in that last spot with the pipe. IKR It needs to have realistic textures compared to actual water if they are aiming at a realistic route...
@carljohnson82858 жыл бұрын
Well, it was at a quiet early status of the game. I guess, it's gonna be retextured.

I would have tittled it "titanic ROOM" cuz it makes you think they'll show you different rooms and the boat from outside.

maku gx I'm glad to see somebody caught that. "first class reception room" should actually have been added in the title.

THIS is the walkthrough game i have wanted for nearly 20 years. Guys this is absolutely incredible. As morbid as it sounds I've always wanted to experience walking through the titanic. Wondering what i would do if i was on when it sank. PLEASE don't ever give u, i will hand over my hard earned cash to get this. Inspiring and incredible work.

Very good animation. The water is just a little too far on the murky side for my taste, but is still a great animation never the less. The subtle violin really brings this all together. Very well done! I look forward to the competed project. :)

This is terrifying. In the middle of the empty North Atlantic with the water rising, the lights going out, and nothing but the sound of steel straining and bending.

That was really eerie to watch - especially for being in real time and the whole event being so fast. I can't imagine how I would feel if I was there in real life. I hope this help you reach the stretch goals - I'm sure people will be more excited to donate and help the project succeed now that we have a look at how far you have come in the game making process.

Very good! I can't believe you guys are really going through with this. I can't wait until you guys release the full version and then Spammals upload a video of the sinking. BTW I love how you add small details like the water pushing the door open and the sparkes coming from the lights and the debris floating in the water! Edit: And the lights going out as the water gets closer to the ceiling!
