Looks like a beast of a van! Nice bike racks too! We’ll be looking into it as we need something for when we head off! Great tips too!🤙🏽

Would be an interesting comparison video regarding wheel nut tension and steel vs alloy wheels 😂. Considering the minimal required effort to torque 5-6 wheel nuts can’t see much need to swap out what the caravan come with. More so only see a benefit in ensuring same stud pattern.

Grouse vid, love the practical advice about stuff that’s just not necessary. Go the Micky Thompson tyres! I’ve used two sets ATZ for over 150K on terrible roads without issue, the way they bag out at very low pressure is amazing.

Lovely ep cracking set up, When is the new van coming with your new sponcers on board doing the build, Essy to fix brake lines with a cheap copper pipe flaring tool, If steel or s/s lines just heat the pipe on the end your flaring with a lighter or matches it softens the metal and they do not spilt, fixed my steel hydraulic lines a couple times,

What was the weight of your setup and what was the towball weight?
@SmartTouringSystems Жыл бұрын
Hi mate. From memory the tare said 2640kg and we weighed it loaded including 4 pushbikes food and water and it went 3540kg with 360kg ball weight. They get heavy fast!

@@SmartTouringSystems lol. Autocorrect at its best!! I meant carafan 😬
@SmartTouringSystems2 жыл бұрын
@@denisemarriott6424 😂 no worries yes I would not own any caravan without some sort of positive pressure system if doing dirt roads. The carafan worked well I can honestly so we had no dust inside.
@denisemarriott64242 жыл бұрын
@@SmartTouringSystems Thanks for the reassurance. We are renovating a very old caravan (60years old) and have put a Carafan in it. We are hoping to take it off road - dust free. Our first ‘big trip’ is the Big Red Bash😳

Zone RV were the first to install hatches for the fridge cooling. Have had no problems with our pull out pantry and done our share crap dirt roads.
@SmartTouringSystems2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wayne. I stand corrected with the fridge hatches being a Zone first, have always liked the Zone vans. And I’m happy to hear you’ve had no problems with your pantry so far. 👍🏼
