Last October, I bought the TITLEIST D2 with that Mitsubishi 60S shaft after trying it at the range with a Titleist Pro Fitter, loved it on the range coz it helped me launch the ball higher which is something I had struggled with for years...I was inconsistent on the course, pushed,pulled,low and never straight(occasionally I would) but generally I struggled. In March 2018 i tried the M4...with a 10,5° Standard Fujikura 5 S-Flex with a STD LOFT...I have never hit a driver that long, that high and that straighter, even the off centre hits go extra long, on a good day I hit it past 300m with a gentle easy swing. I LOVE MY TAYLOR MADE M4,the last time I enjoyed hitting a driver was with the previous T360 in the early 2000's.

Great video. I tend to hit TM drivers slightly further but hit more fairways with Titleist. Your dispersion was amazing. Kudos and fantastic work.

I have been using TS2. Great driver. Very forgiving. Solid sound. Gain more distance.

Extensive fitting by Titleist.. Ended up with a TS2 8.5 with a Smoke 60 gram Stiff The 8.5 works with the inherent higher launch with the TS2 head I think the shaft is the key, ordered a back up shaft for my 917 Might bring AVX ball into the mix....must do some testing first What sold me on TS version was the promise that titleist declared they have FINALLY taken the face to the thinnest legal level. Therefore it seems to me the only variables remaining can be controlled by shaft changing and the titleist hosel adjusting mechanism.

Interesting test. Based on what I’ve seen of your swing I’m surprised you were fitted to a TS2. Even with the Evenflow white T1100, which is tip stiff, The TS2 would spin more than the TS3. I was fitted to a TS3 with the same shaft in a 65 X -flex and my spin numbers are around 1800-2000 with approx 13* launch. Getting Around 160-165 ball speed. And carrying it just a touch shorter than you at around 270-280 most of the time!

Just watched your fitting, great that you´ve done a comparison with similiar clubs so soon. Just wish I could afford that TS2! gorgeous! cheers Michael!

great review , the m3 tested everything is so far my longest and best to work the ball. taylormade make good clubs but customer service is awful.

With the TS2 having a higher ball speed you could change shafts and bring down the spin and gain 5 or more yards carry

changing shaft reduce the spin by tiny bit. shaft helps deliver the energy. head changes the launch and spin

Had my fitting on Monday ,TS2 was longer than my 917 by some way ,with same after market shaft that is in my 917 TS3 not so good dispersion for me but still great distance .TS2 9.5 was the best fit and most forgiving ,had 4 shots over 290 total distance with the srixon range balls ,that said all I need to know .Out of the Titliest offerings on shafts the smoke 6.5 was the best .Good to see Titliest up with other distance drivers now .

Are you going to take the plastic off of the weight on the TS2 or are you hoping to sell it as new on GolfWRX?
@commane216 жыл бұрын
The spin rates of the TS2 are controllable through shaft choice? Loft, as well? Get it down a few hundred and you've got yourself a tie, yes?

I have a hard time believing your club head speed numbers. I swing out of my shoes and nearly give myself a hernia with a past parallel top of back-swing and can only manage 107 mph. You look like you're swinging like a senior @ 80 mph.
