I like this kind of video. I like to see how a fitter interacts with a good player so when I get fit, I have an idea of what to expect from the fitter (not that I'm a good player)
@maamold6 жыл бұрын
Agreed this is the best type of review.

FWIW, this is what it looks like when the fitter knows the good player has 12,000 subs on a video that won’t leave YT for years. Your mileage may vary.

This isnt as much as a review as it is a fit and showing what the driver can do witha good fit. I really like it and dont understand why some people are crybabies over a titleist representative being there helpoing out. If you buy a driver, get fitted it is as easy and this shows what can be done. Really good review and I am always amazed of the effortless speed you have. Keep it up! Best regards from sweden

Just got back from a Titleist fitting(testing). I play the m2 with an adilla rogue silver 70 x stiff. Handicap 3-7, swing speed 114 base - 120 when going after it. Normal distances 280- 320 depending on conditions. Not a bad player, I can still hit it. Tried both TS clubs with all types of shafts. Not good for me. Dispersion, distance, ball speed, launch, etc. All underperformed. Honestly, can not see how these clubs are being successfully tested. I watched the reviews and did not expect these results. Let's put it to you this way... As a guy who's been playing golf for 35 years, and played Titleist exclusively for the majority of it, I'd tell you these clubs suck, don't waste your money. I mean, they even look cheap. Good luck to all you who brave this process.

Coming to this review late, but it was fascinating because I game an 8.5* LST and just got fitted for a TS3 8.5*. Wondering what are your thoughts 3 months later? The only thing holding me back was that my SS was down with the TS3. The smash was up and the results were a bit of a wash, but it seemed more forgiving and consistent across all strikes. Not sure if it was me, or Trackman voodoo with how the crown comes across the sensors.

9:36 Did going to 45.00" shaft (shorter) alter your personal spin numbers at all Or simply more control? Everyone rects to shaft changes differently. Curious (as a taller player also) how if affected you.

Mike you say you like the face of the club to look more neutral but the D2 setting is increased draw. Should this not be closing the face down?

Do you notice any difference in club face angle or any other differences between 440 and 460 cc heads ?

Both TS2 & TS3 are 460cc heads, just shaped slightly different

Sorry for the confusion, between your Ping G400 LST at 445cc and the TS2/TS3. Does the smaller head change how you deliver the club at impact any ?

Your spin with the Ping driver is much lower here than at your Ping driver fitting in your previous video. I have the G400 LST as well and it spins too much with the stock tour shaft.

Are we saying that Titleist stock shafts are the real deal ? The Tensei AV Blue aftermarket is £250 for the shaft online. You saying that the shaft that came with my TS3 is a £250 shaft ? (You must be kidding 😀)
@thomasross12856 жыл бұрын
Same old new stuff, 1/2 inch longer, lower head weight. Upgrade shaft, $750, head still made in China for $30. I bet the paint will chip off with a bad strike.

Sorry Mike, Bought new 718 CB's, Project X Lz shafts. Custom ordered, loft & lies wrong , 2 shafts too short, swingweight light, $12 for golfpride newdecade grips. Wrong grip size. The clubs were sent back twice, still didn't get grip size correct. I had to pay for shipping clubs to them $45. Dealers will not honor repairs unless you buy from them. Bought all new Vokey wedges, great. Bought new 917 F-2, let a friend hit it once, he hit it high off face, paint came off. Will not honor warranty. Gave up, bought all new Mizuno MP-18's,SC, 1 mmc. Perfect specs., no upcharges, lower price point, best quality forging of all golf clubs. Japanese companies still delivering top quality. Fourth set of Mizuno's. Cobra F-8+, F-7 fairway woods. Face on F-8+ great hot spot, durable. Had to refit with Fujikura shaft, adjust clubhead weight to 206-207, great flight. Head weights too light, standard, except for Ping & Pxg that have build target weights. Just bought new M-1 440, hazardous yellow. $275. Now that's more like it. Mike ,I think the people that work for Titleist in Carlsbad are probably underpaid for cost of living. It affects the quality of products when special ordered. I do not know how it is the Uk at there plant, maybe better results. Besides nobody has won with the new driver yet!
@MichaelNewtonGolf6 жыл бұрын
Ok fair point. Apparently every single driver head is checked manually before going out too the market. If so that’s impressive. Can’t imagine every manufacturer doing that.
@majorsmythe16 жыл бұрын
Sorry, Mostly EVERY company makes the heads in China- especially for drivers and woods, China makes a lot of everything now. I've played Mizuno and titleist, never had a problem with either, both good companies.

Driver "review" in the presence of a Titleist employee? Come on this isn't a review at all... as if you would say anything negative.
@MichaelNewtonGolf6 жыл бұрын
GOLF TRUTH for me there wasn’t anything negative about the drivers plus don’t really give a monkeys if I said anything negative in front of a Titleist employee. I don’t gain anything from it! Nick even said before filming just say it as it is, don’t hold back as Titleist as a brand are keen to hear feedback. Thanks for watching
