In life - ideas are just that. If you have a good one: patent it, trademark it. THEN LET THEM STEAL IT. Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking that those who have control and money won’t exploit it.

Ive always looked at stuff like that in the context of everything is borrowed, just as long as you put your own elements in and make them you're own, it's not really stealing. Now Jerry didn’t take it full Elvis style probably he was scared to get sued & would really need a real professional Lawyer. But his side kick that short guy did dress like Elvis I done forgot his name but I think he only worked in that territory he never made it outside of that area. My goodness, it takes MORE than an idea, even if Honky Tonk is telling the truth. You have to have MONEY to make it work and there was significant risk involved. What if Wrestlemania had failed? Mainstream media didn't even recognize wrestling as a sport, as entertainment, as anything they would even pay any attention to. Dr. D, Schultz even Honky Tonk was not the star either Orndorff or Piper was back then. This idea had to draw the fans, the pay per view buys, Vince McMahon Jr. put up his OWN money. Not calling anyone a liar but anyone can say or claim anything was their own idea. Was this idea copyrighted? Schultz I suppose wanted to be a part of the payoffs but not the extraordinary investment risk this was. Sorry, Honky Tonk is the first one I ever knew or heard that said Wrestlemania was this Schultz guys idea. An idea is thrown around by somebody supposedly and Vince McMahon Jr. comes up with the money. Just doesn't sound right to me. Say what you want about Hogan, if Schultz or even Honky could have drawn that kind of money they would have been featured above or instead of Hulk Hogan. Mr. T Drew because of his acting gig, Rocky 3. Even Piper and Orndorff outdrew these these two.
