Many of us( not experts, but follow GDP and politics) were socked when Mbeki was removed as he was brilliant. And the graphs shows it. He was the first president whose government had a budget surplus. I don't want to be arrogant, but I can assume a couple more years of that would have made a huge difference to SA's prosperity. But then Zuma came... And he is still not gone...

Tito as not removed. He asked to be relieved as he knew what was coming! That is wisdom... he was beween a rock and a hard place.

If you study employment stats pre-1994, you will find that employment peaked in 1990 and ever since unemployment numbers have steadily grown. If you know anything about economics, you would understand that it is not a good situation having a state revenue surplus. As inversely a state surplus means less money and more debit created in the private secure. Have you ever questioned what happened to that surplus revenue?

Bheki Mahlobo has more brains and understanding than any ministers in the ANC. Hence here is the problem with SA. We need people with brains not communist ideology.

Growth policies are anti ANC because the ANC power base comes from those voters dependant on the state. They crave power and would rather be in power in a failed state than not in power in a working state. Govts only have 3 revenue streams open to them: borrow via the bond market, tax or steal future value by printing. Our tax base is both small and shrinking, increasing political risk sees rising rates required for us to borrow, so printing it is. Expect R100 to the USD. Do not invest in fixed assets in this country. The first warning shot of 51% local ownership of local companies was fired recently with the signing of the amendment to the PSIRA bill, where security companies in SA have to have majority 51% local ownership. And with the colour based rhetoric of the ANC that will become a 51% black ownership. If the ANC are allowed to continue along this path they will legislate and inflate this country into Zimbabwe.

SA is at the fiscal cliff. ANC has pushed SA towards, stuck between a rock and a hard place. ANC must get out of the way, stop their grabbing and allow business to flourish.
@moonloon58593 жыл бұрын
But, that's what the ANC wants. They are communist, it's in their manifesto, and look at the other two parties in the tripartite. Who actually chooses to vote for the Communist Party or Cosatu, who is so left of socialist that they're communist? No one has a choice. The tripartite government must be broken apart. They want everyone - except for the ruling elite - to own nothing and be reliant on the state for everything.
