Tracy I love these finesse fishing trips that tiny child rig setup never lets you down! I have to say you are more tougher than me LOL goodness! If that thing would have jumped back on me I would have leaped head first into that water I’ll take the chance there was no alligators in that water! I saw the real earlier and I was clinching them now the entire scene dealing with this arachnoid whew my heart was pacing 😂! You were dealing with it so calmly and relaxed 😎! Thank you for sharing this fishing adventure love it despite the killer spider, tight lines take care and God bless!❤❤❤❤

Thanks Gran. Yeah.... I'm no fan of spiders either but I wanted it to survive. They're so creepy though!!!

Would you mind telling me what type and size weight you are using on your tiny child rig? So impressive on the amount of fish you catch with that.
@OldLadyAnglerАй бұрын
If the water's deep, I'll use a 1/8th oz VMC mushroom head weight and if it's shallow water, I'll use a 1/16th oz same weight. Sometimes I use the ZMan mushroom head weights but they're a lot more $$. You have to use super glue when you install the weight or else it comes out too easily when you catch a fish. I usually spend a few hours making up several bags of the tiny children before I'm on the water. I even powder coat my weights. it's a process! But hey... you're right - it catches the fish when nothing else works. I've even caught a Florida Trophy on that rig. It's awesome. Thanks and good luck.

@@OldLadyAnglerthank you for the advice. Heading out tomorrow, with superglued fingers, 😂 and my bag of tiny child’s. Those VMC finesse #2 hooks seem pretty small. Hope your thumbs are healing good!
