Vlad was my favorite post player in the 80's so wonderful I got to see him live with the USSR team play Australia at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. He blocked a fadeaway jumper by our center 6'10" Ray Borner, haha I'll never forget that!

Juan Antonio Corbalán plays the point, Miki Berkovich is jumping around and Volodia Tkachenko is cleaning up. Tkachenko is a mounting of a man - saw him in Kyiv a few times.

I remember those years, realistically only Yugoslav centers (read - Cosic, Radovanovic and others) could guard him, but often with pairings with other players! One of the few good things in Yugoslavia was basketball!!!

There were a lot of GREAT things in Yugoslavia. It shouldn’t be judged by its end. For the bloody end, all countries that appeared after Yugoslavia should take the blame.

@@cistacubaltimoru Good things like - Bare Island, arrests, persecution of homeless people and their families, political suitability in employment, personnel selection, getting apartments, etc. I suppose that an easy life on credit is a good thing, but the generations behind are paying for it through debts. Summary - the only good thing in Yugoslavia is the memories of youth, but I guess that is a universal category. Best Regards ! lions

he holds a Russian citizenship (not Ukrainian) and lives in Russia, please correct the information. Still, he is probably partially of Ukrainian descent, judging by his surname which is quite common in Russia

@cesarelodesani13848 ай бұрын
He simply was 19 years old here. His second year in North Carolina University. too young. He was dominant in the 1984 olympic games in Los Angeles
