Havent seen ads in you videos before, dont take me wrong it is awesome.

That sucks actually, been putting ads in my videos for a while. Guess KZbin isn't giving me credit for them. I appreciate you taking it in a good way. It's nice to get a little something back after investing so much time and money into the channel. Thanks!

If you are going to build this, I suggest you spend about $100 at HomeDepot and buy the Ryobi 18 volt battery powered caulking gun with charger and battery. If you already have Ryobi 18 volt batteries the tool only is about $50. I bought one when I sealed all of my expansion/crack relief joints in 250 feet by 16 feet wide concrete drive way. Worth every penny not having to constantly squeeze the caulking gun handle and much faster. Its not fine trim caulking around windows/doors which should look good and professional. In one of his final completion tornado shelter build videos, there is a pile of empty caulking tubs in the background and that was just just for the outside plywood that was put up on the walls.

Shelter is almost complete, just needs paint and anchoring down. Yes I've went through so many tubes of caulk and adhesive it would have been an awesome tool to have. I run dewalt tools, so I might see if they have one for future projects.

@@TKCL Dewalt does have one and just the tool only is about $200. I have a bunch of Roybi tools and was at right place/time cause HomeDepot was clearing out a old Blue Ryobi one for $20. I am retired now and just found your channel a few days ago. The tornado shelter build was of great interest to me because when I was in my 20's just starting out on my own in the 1970's, I was left with only the car I was driving and clothes on my back when a tornado destroyed my parents home. You are doing a great wonderful correct job on the build!!!! I had a above ground FEMA 320 spec tornado shelter build from the ground up when we built our new house. Have pictures of entire building stages, ( foundation anchoring, fully grouted cement block walls, and 3 inch rebar reinforced ceiling) I was shocked and impressed when I saw there were 3 foot deep footers with rebar sticking 2 feet above finished slab grade exactly where the walls were going before the slab was poured. If possible, plan for a FEMA 320 spec tornado above ground walk in shelter in you new home. You would not know where my shelter is unless I showed you. Your pantry may be an ideal spot to consider where one is built. Looking forward to more of you videos. Take care.

Very good info and I've considered a shelter in the home. House plans are done, so we are not going to redo them for the third time. With that said, our house is extremely over engineered and I'll trust it unless we get extreme storms. At least the shelter is ready and close by after the house is complete.

@@TKCL Link is to FEMA 320 specs. Lot of information but look for the Section SP 1.3 plans which is for a wood wall safe room. www.fema.gov/media-library-data/1418837471752-920f09bb8187ee15436712a3e82ce709/FEMA_P-320_2014_508.pdf

Yes some wild winds for sure in these last few storms. Stay safe!

I seen the pants and boots, I thought the storms must of brought in colder weather with them. 😊😊 It always amazes me how just a little rain can make everything look so green and beautiful. We have had a few days of rain here and tomorrow will be heading out to the farm to work on getting caught up on some badly need mowing. Keep up the great work.

Yep it was just cool enough I kept my work pants and boots on. It only takes a day or two for rain to perk dried up grass up. Wilted leaves seem to perk up within minutes after rain. Now it's time for mowing, thanks for watching!
