That tractor is a life/back saver! It honestly gets used almost daily, you just don't realize how helpful they are. Thanks for watching!

You knew that a tractor video would catch my attention. HAHA About 4 years ago I started collecting Dewalt tools. Sometimes I wish that I had of gone with a cheaper brand, but you can't beat the quality and performance! I pray you guys remain safe through the storm.

Lol I pimp my tractor out like all the other channels do their wives and girlfriends. A tractor thumbnail is mighty appealing. It looks like the storm has shifted Way South, so we should be good to go. Thanks for thinking about us

@@TKCL LOL@ pimping out your tractor! I've always wondered how in the world those guys are ok with provocative shots in their videos of their significant others. I guess they have a "look but can't touch" policy. People are creepy. There's no way I'd display my wife like that nor would she let me!

@@Revtraveler it honestly drives me up the wall. I watch a lot of very good channels, with really good people. It amazes me how they're willing to show off their wife or girlfriend in a thumbnail, just to gain some subscribers or get people to click on the video. It's sleazy in my opinion, very sleazy.

Ashes are really good to go in compost.
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 жыл бұрын
Good point for the future. I didn't want to dump this ash anywhere for fear of it having nails, screws and Staples in it from burning all the dimensional Lumber. Is too much ash a bad thing, seems like I've heard that somewhere? Not sure if I could ever put enough in a large compost pile though.

Lumber prices here in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 are through the roof as well. no sign of them dropping yet. Just built a bunkhouse/storage shed and did it all for $7 grand. Before this covid I probably would have done it for half. Glad to here your prices are dropping, there is hope for us up north. Best of luck on your house build. God bless!
@TKCL

This was the first I've heard from anyone that they were dropping, so hopefully the prices continue to drop and you start seeing that in your area before long. Crazy how much covid has impacted things, I would have never thought.

Her work has been extremely busy lately, which is a good thing. She's not been getting home until after dark. She wants to be on the channel more. We will start live streams next month and she is planning on helping with the house build.

On the earth augers... I put a bunch in one time for the kids swing set by using a large diameter socket and my air compressor impact wrench. Not sure the eyelet size on your earth augers but if you can get a socket to fit over it you’ll be in business! The in by hand alternative stinks, we set some for a big metal pipe deer stand we put up...no Bueno!!
@TKCL

Great idea, however mine are 4ft long and would require about a 3 1/2 inch socket. Looks like I'm putting them in by hand

Man you got a good deal on your Lumber. That's awesome you find a local dealer that's willing to give you a good offer for business and deliver to your house too. That's a huge headache off your mind .I'm surprised the fire pit still has some hot spots in it. Did you get anything from the storm? Man we got over four inches of rain in a 24-hour period and Now dealing with flash floods around the area. Trying to do some cleanup but my foot gotten worse and stop me from doing the cleaner.

We were blessed and did not get anything from the storm other than needed rain. Sorry to hear that you have cleanup to do. Yes we got a great deal on the lumber and are very excited for the house build and potential savings. Take care, hope the foot heals.

@@TKCL thank you I really appreciate that. The cleanup from what I can see don't look too bad. I just found out today I need to have another foot surgery. My foot is swollen up like it's got Gout and my test came back I do not have that. Again thank you I really appreciate that.

@@remushaynes2693 I see, I'm not an engineer but going by tested engineered plans. They call for 1.5 inch lip and that structure is rated to 250 MPH winds. That's far more than anything I'll ever see in this state, I'll stick with the plans. I do see your point though, it's still far stronger than any traditional framing. Keep in mind that there is 3/4 plywood inside and out to tie all laminated timbers together.

Hi Andrew, Great price on your lumber👍. I like y’all’s channel. Just subscribed. Your deer stand is sweet. I’m building me one right now. Hope to have it done by next hunting season. Got tied up with other projects and didn’t get finished in time for this year. I guess you know how that is. Keep up the good work on your homestead. You are doing a great job! What area are you located in Florida? We are in Putnam County on the Oklawaha River. Have a peaceful week. Hollis
