​@@TKNORTH A little question. How could you shoot your timelapse horizontally and then post them on IG vertically? I shoot my TL horizontally and edit in LR then in Davinci resolve. So when I post it on Instagram, I can't make it become vertically just like yours.

@@jjjason0826 Sorry I missed this man but glad you also asked on IG. Just incase anyone else wanted to know from reading this. I usually shoot some of my timelapses vertical depending on where I plan to use them. The other option is to just crop in from your landscape timelapse, in this case it's always good to shoot a little wider than you usually would (if possible) so you can crop it into a vertical ratio later on! Shooting this method the files will always be massive so it gives you lots of freedom to crop in later on!

This is a great video/tutorial if you have Premier Pro, but investing in Premier Pro just to make the odd timelapse is not an option, is there a way of doing this using other less expensive software.

Hi Bill! Thanks so much for the feedback. This video mainly focused on shooting, I should do another video just on editing because there's many different ways you can do it. At the most basic level you could use Lightroom to organise and colour grade and then Photoshop to render the sequence (essentially using Photoshop as the video editor). However this method will not address things like flickering etc and is quite limited. For me LR timelapse is the best program you can use to render the timelapses, sadly again it's another expense if you're only hoping to do the odd timelapse though. They did have a free version to try out, I'm not sure if this is still available. But that could be an option if you just wanted to try it out.

Are you sure about 60 sec?! Actually, you can't use more than 25-30 sec, otherwise you'll get star trails.
