Too late I just got a GMC 1500 AT4 with a… wait for it… V-8! Have owned Ram since 2002 and have 2 now but I don’t want anything with a turbo much less 2 turbos in a wound up 3L 6 cylinder with a bunch of plastic parts and no dipstick

If a V8 is added, it should not be a new V8. They have the 5.7 and the 6.4, tried and tested. I have a 5.7 and love it. The Hellcat is for the TRX.

I just told a local RAM sales manager that I want a new 4wd truck that can tow 10k and I'm not paying more than $35k for it. The best he could offer was a 2019 Laramie w/ 71k miles on it. 😂. I told him to call me when he had a new RAM ( any model year) that met my parameters. I'm not holding my breath but it felt good to tell him I knew they weren't selling and Stellantis was lowering the MSRP.

Let's see what Ram comes up with. I mean I already have a Hemi Ram and a shorty 5.2 V8 Dakota. Right now, I am looking at the Chevy 1500 WT single cab 5.3 V8. I might have to get it in a single cab long bed, but who cares. I am leaning more towards the Chevy V8 over the Ford because I don't care for overhead cam engines. The Chevy V8 only has one cam like a Hemi and makes it easier to upgrade a cam. We will see. I am in no hurry, but for sure, the Ram is out right now for lack of a V8

I leased a new 2017 Ram 1500 for 3 years and my intention was to do thd buy-out at lease end. Cam phaser, check engine, limp mode close to end of lease, brought in 5x to dealer. Called Chrysler customer service, filed complaint, no help. Returned truck at lease end. I need it for work. I cant be loosing time at the dealer trying to fix a defective truck. Money lost. , . They need to go out of business and let a smaller truck company build trucks for tradesmen. Not buying any new truck.

Look, just keep the Ram classic and current Gen, with a hemi. Fix all known issues, stop putting 22s on them.. standard bed, quad cab, regular hemi with a 33 gallon tank. No sun roof, etc.
