25:15 - 1. Driving style.
28:59 - Scale of consumption for a whole 60' stint.
32:15 - 2. Think opposite. Don't try to improve tyre wear, ask more from the low consumed tyres.
35:55 - How toe can help us achieve different consumption.
41:25 - Driving laps with new setup values.
42:45 - It works! Checking results in tyre consumption and comparison of tyre sets.
45:10 - Correct slight oversteery setup
45:21 - Differential preload work for this specific track to consume less the rear tyres.
48:08 - More heat, less efficiency, more consumption. A universal rule.
49:47 - Driving laps with new setup values.
53:02 - Check results after another 4 laps.
55:20 - Conclusion: 1 Driving style. 2. Ask more from the less stressed tyres (front). 3. Improve consumption (rear).
58:13 - Advice on how to use a "break in" tyre set in the race.
59:59 - Differences of Front engined cars to Rear/mid engined cars.
1:01:10 - Consistency is key.

Fantastic video Aris. a long time ago, I used to drive the Lamborghini and had a lot of issues with rear tyre wear. It crossed my mind to make the front tyre wear heavier in order to balance and I did it, but the temperature of the rear tyres on the Lambo was always higher than the front and thus I thought that it wasnt working. I didnt test after 4 Laps and calculated the tyre wear like you did, now I know my approach wasnt wrong at all, I just didnt fully test it. I guess the lambo will always have hotter rear tyres. Thank you for a great video and explanations! I wish we could all see this inside the game, or at least a link to the channel so that everyone can see it; many people dont know your channel and miss all this great information. Grazie e arrivederci!

Hello Aris, thank you for all your Videos that explain us, the physics of the cars, the tyres, how to setup a car, the Trackguides and so on. So I wanted to ask if and when you will write us more details about the other GT3 cars in the "ACC Blog"? So that we can better understand the characteristics of the different vehicles and get to know the weaknesses and strengths in order to adapt our setups and our driving style to the characteristics of the car. Have a nice day and thank you in advance for your answer.

Didn't learn all that much extra, but Aris deserves praise for doing these videos, I'd almost call them walkthroughs, as they're so detailed, so we can all grow as simracers and get the best out of everybody. In any case it was an hour well spent.
@ArisDrives
@ArisDrives 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the nice words. Yes of course more experienced simracers know all of this already, but the more they get the knowledge, the better the races will be.

Thanks for this in-depth review. Problem with Front brake ducts on the lambo is that brakes overheat heasily on the front, when the rear is too much cool
@ArisDrives
@ArisDrives 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It depends also on the ambient and track temperature of course. Also overheating the front brakes slightly right at the end of the braking zone and turn in, might be a good thing, as it could help with trailbraking. But that's a more advanced technique and aspect.

@@ArisDrives this is actually something I use, and getting Fronts going to 650 is fine, but when it get's to 750 at the Peak point, the brakes are fading, and either you have to brake 10 meters earlier, or miss the apex. Each case are too damageable for the pace. As you said, in terms of setup, everything is compromise. Just wanting to point it out for those who didn't noticed this aspect. Overheat the tyres is a valid Idea, just don't forget to not fade the brakes :)

Glad you liked it. I have already done various videos on the aerodynamics. On the "7 steps to a custom setup" playlist, the 2nd video talks about aerodynamics. Have a look at the playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLOo3YiGzVthDP-aUXK1XWMAcykvol_ytb Also this video specifically talks about the yaw influence on the aerodynamics. Check it out after you've watched the above one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2eYpWp_g7mhY6M Finally... who is "Sergio"? :D :D

Watching this now. Regarding the ride height changing, shouldn't it be 2mm lower? Because you're measuring the tread depth. If we see 1mm in-game, that means we lost 4mm total of tyre diameter. Unless you're referring to losing 2mm of diameter.
@ArisDrives
@ArisDrives 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I messed up there. 2mm from the surface, means 2mm lower ride height. I overcomplicated it for myself without reason. Professional live streamer... :D

@@ArisDrives Haha, no worries... I imagine it's very easy to get small things wrong when you're talking to a couple hundred people for 2 hours straight. Just finishing the video now, this'll be helpful with the endurance races we'll be doing in the coming winter, thank you!

Hi Aris, Considering the tyre consumption is shown as IMO. When looking at the tyre consumption, why are you looking at Outer tyre consumption as your measurement value? Is there a particular reason or I can compare using any of the 3?
@ArisDrives
@ArisDrives 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dean. I'm looking at the Inner consumption, because this is where you're getting the most exaggerated differences. Lowering the negative camber, helps spread the wear across the whole surface and make the situation less extreme. You should watch all 3 parts, but Inner is where you should focus.

@@ArisDrives Hey Aris, Thank you so much for this video! And for making a great game! Regarding Camber, I've been confused why shouldn't it be setup camber so the tire is used equally across the O, M and I across the strint? I'm guessing that you use even more camber than equal usage across O, M and I, because this gives maximum tire grip in the corner, with some extra wear on Inner on straights, and this is fastest, correct? I remember you mentioning in another video that as rule of thumb, is was go to have Inner being 5-8 degree warmer than Outer, and have been wondering about it since.
