You should check out the video he did with the Petrolicious founder. He, Rob Dickinson, and Rod Emory talk origin stories, travel history, cars, and other things. He shared it on his channel a while back. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGfXlJJ4gpqip68

Beautiful job. Best car I ever had was the HJ60. Rust was a problem because we were next to the beach several months of the year but it was an amazing vehicle. Would have loved to have had the money to do it up like this.

Hello all series60 owner. Need your opinion here. Which 1 is the best to lift up this lc60 series. Should i keep the original leaf spring below the axle or change it to the top of axle? Im scare the car will lose stability if i put the leaf spring top of the axle.thank you

These restorations are fantastic. The idea of doing all this to put a piece of Chevy crap into such a beautiful Toyota is heresy to say the least. Amazing job though. Would love to see a Lexus UR in one of these.

Nice build but looks kinda weird having two sets of tail lights?
@brandonar8686 жыл бұрын
Joeys Cleaning Lady Most Land Cruisers are like that from Factory.....
@joeyscleaninglady28776 жыл бұрын
No this FJ60 has a FJ40 bumper. FJ60s don't have the tail lights in the bumper the FJ40 does. Having two sets of tail lights makes it look like the griswolds station wagon
@zigglemeister65336 жыл бұрын
It's an aftermarket bumper, capable of taking two swingaway spare wheels, though this one has one spare and a fuel can holder. Most such bumpers will have lights in them because if you fit oversize wheels (say 35" or above) the spare wheels will obscure the factory tail lights.
@joeyscleaninglady28776 жыл бұрын
waa? the spare tire is already mounted as well as the jerry can. If the client was going to go this route at least replace the lens openings with high powered reverse lights. Much more useful.

Nice work. I have a stock 62 and 80 and wish they had powerful LS engines. Im not a purist, but look what happened when the P51 Mustang went from the American Allison to the British Rolls Royce Merlin.
@GarminPro6 жыл бұрын
I just have a problem with all these beautiful Toyota’s with GM motors. I would much prefer the 5.7 liter iForce V8 from Toyota.
@newt3k6 жыл бұрын
As soon as Toyota offers an out of the box fully smog compliant solution... (never?)
@lewisflynn70186 жыл бұрын
Ward asked toyota for some help aquiring toyota engines a little while back but they had some problems building more engines than cars and interrupting their production and they turned him down. Considering he has worked directly with Toyota in the past and they still didn't want to help him out, there must be serious reasons why the couldn't do it. This might sound like a GM slut big talking their products (because I am and I do), but the LS series of engines are really good gear. Good value for money, good performance, [considerable] good fuel economy, reliable and almost bulletproof in this application and you can buy them brand new directly from the manufacturer. If you're into ICON, then you probably aren't a purist, so this compromise probably isn't bad. If you are a purist, then a basic restored Toyota is probably more your thing.
@joeyscleaninglady28776 жыл бұрын
was hoping for another 2.8 cummins build
@robmanueb.6 жыл бұрын
That said Jonathon does Toyota engines for his builds, basically whatever the customer wants, in this case LS.
@lewisflynn70186 жыл бұрын
robmanueb2 For sure, dude. I was only trying to defend the choice of an LS engine in this platform.
