She's waddling around that grocery store & both are practically orgasmic at this treat for them. Teachers don't make that much money. Eating take out food is EXPENSIVE now not to mention the cost of groceries. They are both enabling each other. MAYBE they should BOTH have the surgery but in this show they never are NOT required to get the professional counseling BEFORE to gain insight into WHY they got so fat and their coping mechanisms. :(

It’s disturbing to me that she stated “not even a wife should have to do”. No matter what illness my husband had, I would clean him anywhere to prevent an infection and more importantly, for his dignity. Also, if he was obese, I would be supportive of him by NOT bringing food into the home that is unhealthy. I understand they both have a serious mental and health issue, however, as a wife, there is no excuse for shaming your spouse for caring for his dignity and care. You care enough to love him and help with some type of intervention for the both of you! I know it’s more complicated then this, yet the insight of his wife is disturbing.

I was that much at 13. I didn't have parents. Was staying with a relative out of state for awhile being abused and didn't have a social life and food started as any other addiction comforting but detrimental. I got away though at 14 and yes your environment etc plays a big roll at that age. A child is more likely to have even more issues going into adulthood as that's what they have always ran to. I was an alcoholic in early 20s and I got off that but it's a dual prognosis as you must work on healing the underlying issues and Triggers for the unhealthy behavior.

Yeah I thinking the same thing! I mean he's a lot more active than most people people his size, that's for sure. The fact that he gets up, showers, cooks his own food (all 100,000 calories of it), goes to the grocery store, etc leads me to believe he has the willpower to change his situation which is really good for his long-term prognosis, but I think these two are really bad for each other so if they don't both start taking care of themselves, supporting and encouraging each other to lose weight either they're both going to fail to lose the weight or have to divorce in order to get better. It takes two healthy people to make a healthy relationship.

I can sympathize with the way he feels about food. I ballooned to over 305lbs in 2015 and even though you feel disgusting, your only happiness strangely comes from the very same thing that is slowly killing you. My Mother would cry that she though i was going to die, as her brother had just passed 2 years prior being over 600lbs. I felt that everyone was attacking me and the only thing that didn't scream, cry or judge, was junk food. I finally decided to make that change in my life, which was slow and painful, but I am now 220lbs and have stayed pretty much around that weight since 2018. It was not easy, but I knew my kids were worth it, my wife was worth it, I was worth it, but it took a change in my heart, and in my mind to see that. My story could have easily went the other way if I hadn't made that decision.
