Indeed. There was one extreme couponer here on the show that gave 8 packs of powerade to a football team along with snacks after their game for a party, I think she even bought cupcakes and such for them and party favors. Another couponer was one who donated back to charity for a school fund raising of collecting canned foods for a charity drive. She gave over 1,000 cans. And the last I remember was one for a book charity, lady got them 800 books for a library. But if this is real and she’s the only ONE who scanned all of my items which 600 plus worth of groceries and there’s $20 amount. I will still accepted it WHY? ( even tho it supposed to be free ) Bc this transaction is almost 99% savings in real life i cant barely save that kind of amount until i learned how to do couponing. And for me for 5 years doing this i feel bad for cashier too when i have so many coupons especially when they find out they messed up my transaction she can be in trouble. Take note : store they dont TAKE COUPONS BACK There is a chance that cashier be in trouble might fired too. Couponing is not ALL about to get the items FREE Is to get the items in a LOWEST price. But unfortunately this senario is a huge LIE. but also in real life you can still get items free in a RIGHT WAY with tax tho. So the more you have huge items the more you tax is BIGGER

When a product goes in the market it gets marked up supplier + another mark up by the distributor. Shelf prices cost a lot more than production value. When an item gets on sale the shelf price would drop to reasonable amount let's say from 500 to 300. Being couponed or buy 1 get 1 would probably make that 300 half by 150. This 150 price is more than enough production value we didn't know (probably only around 50). Couponing it or putting it on sale actually help the companies to get rid of old stock but still able to have a kickback from their production value. There would be less loss in products.

This is also my view on extreme couponers. I just can't imagine that every one of them actually makes the effort to get all the (nearly) expired stuff together and trying to donate it. Just in general I find the cheaper they want to live without having to (meaning they can pay full price for everything, they just don't want to) the more selfish people become. Because what do they do with those savings? Donate them? Ha ha ha, I wish! No, they'll just spend it on themselves and then excuse their cheapness by making the lowest effort good gestures such as using a tote bag, using their bike instead of the car, or giving one homeless person a dollar while passing by. As if that makes up for anything. I get particularly angry at the women who claim they need to shop like this when it turns out they have more than enough money in the bank to never worry about *anything*, let alone bloody groceries. Then just admit you're a cheapskate, jeez. Obviously not talking about every couponer, just the very extreme, entitled ones who would most likely not bat an eye to just throwing things away.
@obviouslyhuman64644 жыл бұрын
@@SteffiHenri1992 For starters, I'm a young person whose parents make a fairly decent wage to be able to afford the items in full-priced. I don't think it's wrong for people who can afford it at a normal price to start couponing. Granted, I wouldn't claim I have to do it cause I'm broke.The reason why I do it is cause it's a fun hobby, I'm cheap (was raised this way but not the extent as extreme cheap stakes) and I can afford nice gifts for people I like without being broke. Plus I do think this is a useful tool to use when I'm an adult. What they do with their saving from couponing is their own personal matter. It's up to them if they want to donate the money or not. I do agree that those that buy things just cause it's free without a proper plan on what to do with them such as donating or selling the products aren't the wisest especially if it's at a point where it's expired cause end of day they're paying taxes which ads up, it takes a room on their stockpile and landfills. People who buy often will normally donate/sell cause realistically they won't have room to store it anymore as it adds up normally.
@SteffiHenri19924 жыл бұрын
@@obviouslyhuman6464 I'm not going to argue your hobby with you. If this is what you want to do and are OK with planning your life around saving your money then please don't let anyone stop you. But be aware that this what others might think of you. I certainly don't think of a charitable person when I'm picturing an extremely cheap but wealthy person and honestly doubt that others see differently. And you're right, savings are to be spent however the saver sees fit, but then people should stop defending her and others like her by saying that they donate a lot. I think constant unrelenting cheapness in absolutely every situation when you don't need to be is one of the most unappealing traits a person can have - this is *my* personal view on things, don't get offended, I don't know you. I do know what it's like to both have money and to be broke to the point of not being able to pay rent for several months. Still not going to save like my life depends on it because I want to go out and buy whatever I want without thinking and planning first. No one way is better, but I'm happy not being known as a cheap person because no one ever calls someone cheap and means it as a compliment. In conclusion: do what you want, at the end of the day it's your money and you can do whatever you want with it. Be as charitable or as cheap as you want. I'm going to hold onto my views because your arguments were not enough to sway me. I still believe most extreme cheapskates or couponers are not planning ahead on all the waste they will eventually have and will throw most of it away rather than donating them. I think extreme cheapness is only good for the person being cheap and no one else.
@therationalist43404 жыл бұрын
As soon as an owner gets wind of this they're going to change the coupon rules so what's the point. You end up spending more money (in the form of time) trying to save than you would if you just went out and made the money in the first place. It's pointless.
