@@ITI-xi5zx It seems too convenient to just absolve people from all blame and say that it's out of their hands because they're addicts. Everyone has the capacity to become an addict, but not everyone does. Non-addicts learn to cope in healthier ways and the onus HAS to be on the addicts to cope in healthier ways. Only the addict himself has the ability to end their addiction and blaming the people near them for not treating the addict in the perfect way is BS. Addicts take everything from the people around them and rarely give anything back. It's healthier for other people to cut themselves out of the addict's life or give them minimal support.

Seeing how you hurt others is probably the best motivation to get help. Every addict I know who got help did it for the people that they love. "Just stop" is like the easiest thing to say in the world but addicts are f*cking nightmares when they don't have their stuff. I know from first hand experience. It's a terrible position to put someone in and often the only answer is to split from the addict, tell them to come back when they're ready to treat you like a partner and not their b*tch that they can scream at and threaten to get their way, and you'll consider it. Otherwise, it's new horizons for both of you. Seriously, a lot of the time it's better for everyone to just start fresh alone than try to fix a relationship that is dysfunctional at its very core.

That therapist is trash 🗑 he just helped her put the blame on him This is why I hate the concept of enabler because it gives people who already fail to take accountability the chance to blame it on someone else. Girl you a whole adult with full possession of all your capacities, it’s your fault nobody else’s. He didn’t shove the food down your throat. He’s maybe not as helpful as “he should” ( even though he doesn’t owe you a damn thing) but still it’s your body and your choice. Just learn how to give up on what you want now to have what you need Your HEALTH
@cherryonasundae3 жыл бұрын
The therapist is not trash he is correct that he is an enabler!! Yes she needs to take responsability but these people have a severe ADDICTION!!! It’s like giving a heroine addict more heroine every single day!!! No therapist is gonna say “yeah that’s a great idea keep doing that!!” Enablers are real and they need to change too
@analea65313 жыл бұрын
@@cherryonasundae the first step should have been letting her know that she’s the first one responsible for this situation and that she needs to learn how to say no and make right choices for herself before acknowledging her husband’s role in this. I never said he was a saint but nobody is responsible for a grown person’s weight. It’s your own choices that lead you there and if you don’t take accountability you won’t lose any weight

@@analea6531 do you really think that the therapist session was not edited or cut? This session with the therapist in the video lasted about 3 minutes.. a real session in real life lasts over an hour not to mention this was probably longer because it is filmed!! Obviously there is stuff that we are not seeing in this short clip!! Yes firstly it is her responsability but secondly the enabler needs to be addressed.. alot of these men actually have a “big girl fétish” if you watch 1000 pound sisters you will see all her boyfriends have a big girl fétish and want their partners to stay fat and will leave them if they start losing weight.. that’s another type of toxic enabler
@analea65313 жыл бұрын
@@cherryonasundae first I only talk about what I watched, I know the session was longer but I don’t know what the therapist said and I don’t want to assume stuff so I still think he’s wrong for not acknowledging her role in her weight gain. They left the office on her taking zero accountability so either the therapist also enabled in thinking it’s her husband’s fault or she didn’t understand anything he said. Then of course there are feeders I don’t deny it I watch 1000 lbs sisters. But everybody still has the last word when it comes to what you eat that’s what was missing in this clip, her understanding she’s the first to blame. And she even said she doesn’t want the surgery so either she’s self sabotaging herself on purpose or she takes zero accountability.
@cherryonasundae3 жыл бұрын
@@analea6531 it’s not only the fact that the session was longer.. if you know even the slightest thing about television production, you know that the producers have a large amount of video content and they cut and edit everything down to this 3 min clip.. so they obviously edited out other portions and kept the most interesting/controversial parts of the session.. if they showed the boring or mundane parts why would people be interested to watch?? The producers purposely chose to show this clip and not the other parts, that is very obvious You should not be blaming the therapist but should be blaming the producers instead!! They edited the show to show this part lol

What in the world, why is she not taking accountability. I am glad I have found way to get over my food addiction by looking for other ways of dealing with my emotions. I went down this path when I was a kid and I got up to 250lbs. Weight loss is possible, but if you have a bad food addiction, it’s not as easy as some people say. I am a healthy weight now, and I’m almost done with my 100LBS weight loss journey. I share my journey over here on my channel. If you don’t think it’s possible, it is. I understand not having a fully supportive partner, and how hard it is when you don't have someone helping motivate. But at the end of the day you can't depend on others to be your cheerleader. You have to be your own cheerleader and take responsibility for your actions. Is he at fault? I at least think a tiny bit in a way. But the one that is most at fault is herself (like 98%). She's a grown adult that makes her own choices. It's time to grow up, and start fighting for yourself

My mom's friend got weight loss surgery, dropped over 200 lbs, and as she puts it, "another 250 lbs" in the form of her husband. Apparently he fought against her decision to get weight loss because he has a fetish for obese women, and he not only was enabling her weight gain over the years but was encouraging it. Apparently he's dating a morbidly obese woman right now and repeating the damaging cycle all over again.

So takeaways it was. A lot harder, but it's coming off. As well as age I'm also disabled. I see these lard arses blaming everyone else, a lot of the time using silly little girl high pitched voices.
