I have now the Panasonic TX-P46 Plasma. Bought it new in 2010 !. No problems at all with the screen and it still works !. But now it's time for a upgrade. This time I will definitely go for the LG G3 Evo 55" inch, cause I have no more space on the wall in my living room. The price is €1450 Euros in the Netherlands, Europe for the 55" inch model. 6000 plus tax for it in Canada. I’ll pass. I’ll stick with my 1985 Sony Colour Floor Model TV. The only thing is, all my remote children are grown up and married now. I only have to wait for my Grandchildren to get a little older so I can teach them how to turn the Tv on and off and change the channel.

This TV is phenomenal. I just saw it outclass sony a80L with reality creation on and match a95k too . Got it at such perfect price with offers . A no brainier. QD oled, Mla all are looking so close and blacks and whites are superior compared to QDs but QDs have better colour i agree however not night and day.

@@johnm202 that’s true but at the time of purchase sony a80l and a95k was available in my country and both were priced much much higher than G3 . Ofcourse A95L is the best tv so far but it comes with a hefty price tag and less warranty on paper. Will definitely buy a sony in near future but for now pretty satisfied with G3 . It’s worthy to be competing

@@balladofthebroken7569 Loving it brother. Dolby vision in this is so so good. Doesn’t matter which mode you watch Dolby vision in this tv , this tv is made for viewing Dolby vision content. LG really is excellent with software and the processing has now improved also. The near black crominance overshoot is the only thing that annoys me as a viewer and the only thing to resolve it is using an apple tv or firetv cube which i own but they cannot replicate the 3d depth that lg native apps like netfilx, disney+ already have.

I own a C2 wicth I got for under 1700$ same WebOS and I do think image quality is pretty dam good compare to the G3, but, hey a bit kess expensive ;-) I installed recently a small Windows Pro Pc, image is top notch, Xbox X too ! Glad you had this opportunity, and I watch all your videos regardless of topic. I made the choice to do so long ago when I saw you handing out iPhones to kids in the street and new MacBooks to your friends, colleagues, viewers and even hair stylist (sorry if that isn't the correct term). But I do miss your regular old content where there is a sponsor, but the sponsor isn't the subject of the video. Because when the sponsor is the subject and it's about tech, it feels like we're getting a long commercial. I don't mean to be negative; i just miss the old JM videos. Hope they come back soon.

People base their purchasing decisions on what youtubers say, and when someone is being told to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars more for something because it's "better" vs the cheaper option that does the same thing, that's an issue. He said this TV has a picture quality night and day better than other TV's, I bet you that you can place this tv next to any other oled tv or LED tv and the average consumer won't really tell the difference. But when watching the video someone may want this tv based on that he said about it, when the consumer could have saved a lot of $ buying something cheaper that does the same thing at the end of the day. KZbinrs that sell out and only do sponsored videos/commercials are toxic.

Had Lg2 and on day 4 the power board fried, LG sent Tech and they replaced it. However it didn't bonkers again 13 months later by then LG warranty has expired. Funny enough their 5 years warranty only for panel. Not sure lf I ever will go max

I filed a complaint to LG about my LG G2 65” which got a vertical line on August 23 and they said technician will arrive on August 29 and then I hear a call from technician on 29th that he is not arriving because he didn’t received parts( display & power supply) yet they are out of stock. I waited long enough and I call them today which is September 11, and the representative told me that technician received a damage display and you have to wait more which is a silly excuse si after one and half hour long wait over the phone, I got in the touch with supervisor. I asked them to replace my TV. I can’t wait more enough and now they have submitted my case to “Presidential Liaison Team” & I will receive a call from them within 24 hours. Hope for the best I will update once I receive a call.

@josh..I go on the tube and do massive research on these tv's. I watch the top callibrators talk about the top tv's. They (mostly) agree if you have the cash, the best all around tv right now is the Sony XR A95L. But dam, you will pay dearly for a "little better"

Great tv, it's not the best, but for that money it's the best to do that task (perfect wall mount with no cable setup); as far as oled goes, for the "average" customer I'd suggest other stuff from the LG lineup like the B3 or even a C2 if you can still find one. As far as overall best oled goes, it's probably Sony's A95* (last year it was A95K, I guess this year it should be A95L).

G3 is still better in main areas. Gaming and Pricing are superior to the Sony. Also judging by early tests looks like G3 may still be the brightest Oled in the states this year which is extremely beneficial.

It's ironic that you hooked it up to a PS5 given that the PS5 has an HDMI capped to 32GB/s rather than the full bandwidth of HDMI2.1 of 40GB/s... Which the Xbox Series X and S utilize the full bandwidth... All this means that the PS5 can never reproduce 4:4:4 (capped at 4:2:2) and can never have anything at 4K 120hz ☠☠
