I had the same exact noise with my ESC, changing the frequency also fixed it!

I'm going to be picking up a roller this week. Super excited. Also love your paint -- I'm guessing it's the Tamiya Green/Purple backed with Black? Looks awesome!

I subscribed to your channel so I can continue to learn from you and maybe even share my own experiences with my car. It will take me time though, I just got my kit and all the tools. I am stoked about this buggy.

I appreciate it! Good luck on the build and let me know how it goes. It is super fun and there is always something you can work on. Just take your time and do it little by little if you have to, I made a lot of mistakes my first time building and have slowly went through and corrected them. It is all part of learning it. TLR official channel has a very helpful video guide that breaks the entire build down into a series of videos, it helped me out a lot.

@@witnessrc4862 Dude, thank you I did not even look for one. I like how your dad has one of theses buggies. My dad never allowed himself to rest and enjoy a hobby. It's a good thing to have something like this.

Did you paint that wing? Or is that made black. Love the look of it

Is a Motive 6000 or 6400 2s 100c good for racing or are they to heavy?
@witnessrc48627 ай бұрын
Those should be solid. I personally have switched to running LCG protek packs to save some weight on my 4wd but I still run full size packs from time to time with good results.

@witnessrc4862 The ones I have are shorty and I think they are LCG but I meant being 100c vs 130c people seem to run these days

@@MX-CO I honestly dont notice much of a difference between the C ratings in my packs.

did you lube the composite ring and pinion, or you run those dry?
@witnessrc48622 жыл бұрын
I lubed them up with just the kit grease
@KenMrKLC2 жыл бұрын
@@witnessrc4862 hey thanks for the quick reply. That’s what I ended up doing I just thought maybe they might run dry for less drag. I put a nice thin layer of the black tube kit grease. I am amazed at the amount of weight it cuts out of the diffs…. Just lifting the removed metal parts all together it’s got heft for sure. I can’t wait to try it out I bet it will be more responsive…. Hoping maybe it will be a little quieter too

@@KenMrKLC oh ya I noticed right away it was significantly snappier with the composite gears.

Won't the composite gears break more frequently than the aluminum? They designed it with aluminum, so is this just a preference?
@witnessrc4862 Жыл бұрын
In theory they are more likely to break but I haven’t had that issue myself in either of the kits I run, most come with composite gears and then upgrade to metal if you want to run a mod class motor. The performance boos from running composite gears is massive

@@witnessrc4862 I guess I'll get them and see for myself. I just got my kit and tools. Been twenty years since I had a kit. Last car was a crappy rtr associated buggy db19 reflex. Not on the level of my old rc10 when I was a kid.

@@InstrumentvanVrede FWIW, the composite gears are meant to withstand the power of 13.5 turn motors. Anything stronger than that, and TLR recommends that you run the metal gearsets. That being said, you can also replace the metal ring and pinions in the front and rear diffs/gearboxes with available composite ones, but ONLY if you run the center diff. They also recommend that you run the metal ones if you use the slipper center diff.
