We walkthrough a lightweight, all-composite, bunkhouse travel trailer: the TLRV Rove Lite 14BH. At just 16 feet 7" long and coming in at under 2000 pounds, it's even lighter than our Safari Condo trailer and with its bunks it can also comfortably sleep four people. And yes it has a toilet & shower! This small camper caravan is ultra lightweight and easy to tow with a wagon or an SUV!

The video was well done, however these trailers have some issues. We've had a BH for three seasons now. So far the frame has broken twice from highway driving, the windows and hatches have leaked because the holes they put them in are so over sized that they could never be seeled, the bed has broken, the table warped to salad bowl proportions, the grey and black water labels were reversed and the door has never worked properly and is so damaged from trying to close it, it will probably never work well. I don't think we got a lemon, I think these are just really poorly built camper trailers.

@@DayHikerFromTheSix Fit and finish on this 14BH gives off a DIY vibe comparable to a level of quality seen on big-box RVs from a Lance or Jayco. All the unfinished joints and mediocre hardware seen here makes the higher price point of the Alto a superior value proposition if retained for more than a few seasons.

Nice clear review! It blows my mind that my 8’ 1976 tent trailer had a better dining table set up compared to any of these wobbly tables today. Man they really chins out on the fridge and freezer size. Good luck keeping enough food for 4 for 5 days in that little fridge

Yes, and that would eliminate the need to move the sewer hose from the black to the grey to empty. I would rather have a cassette or composting toilet than have to shift a dirty hose. Jon in rural BC, Canada

Nice walk thru . I have the 14FD . I think I want a BH now LOL Owner comment the Window A/C in Oklahoma /Texas does not keep camper cool. and because the opening is small few units fit. Found 6000 BTU with auto controls that is just keeping up. A Vent in roof over the A/C to release the heat would help tremendously. As for no leaks and weight can't beat it for the price point. I luv my Rova !!!

As with most RVs, no cooking space. Otherwise very nice inside. No sink in the washroom is usually a no-no for me. Yuck, washing hands in the kitchen sink? They could have used some kind of a solution for small washrooms. Plus: excellent couch conversion and lift-bunk. #1 - no cooking space #2 - no sink in the washroom

Just signed a deal for a 2024 with off-road & solar packages. The list or sales price r just a bit misleading since you also have the $2k destination and then prep/dealer fees - It's always a fun game to play in getting the down and dirty out the door price in writing. Got ours for just under $28k US - Then another 2k for state sales tax.

@3:06 You might not have to worry about water damage💦🌧💧, but learned that type of composite insulation material is highly flammable 🔥. Can't win them all 🤷‍♂️, and that's a bummer. The rear window is a port window and not an emergency exit window considering the high flammability of the insulation material. Another bummer.

Yup, the furniture framing inside the trailer is all wood. But the core structure-trailer frame, floor, walls, roof is all composite.

You can't pull 200lb dry weight with a car that has 2500 lb towing capacity! Any hill will be a real issue, the wear on that car will be awful. I looked up the specs and it actually lists Dry Weight 1956 lbs, GVWR 2500 lbs. Towing it with a car with less than 3000 lb would be dangerous, you should really have 3500 towing capacity.

Oh gross. Seeing all those staple nails just sticking out in the front storage where they came out of the studs at an angle. Ready to scratch and jab things in a full storage. Not to mention what it points towards with shoddy quality and less than planned anchoring if whatever the staples went to. Probably floor deck.

I agree it is built to a price point and there is room for improvement in some of the craftsmanship of this unit. But it is also significantly cheaper than many alternatives. Tradeoffs are a part of RV'ing unfortunately. Thanks for watching!

Too bad that the workmanship of The Rove Lite is so poor. mine had the rear wall separate from the floor after a 2000 mile trip. slut of wiring and plumbing issues. Kink pipes, loose connections.

Off-road package and 200W/Solar - Side note also looked at a modern buggy trailer and wow the craftsmanship and class of the interior blew the Rove away but the 14Bh wins for us due to dual sitting/sleeping areas + the added bunk. I understand having manufacturing issues but the lack of customer servers on the part of Rove lite is unacceptable. Buyer beware, Have the unit inspected by a third-party inspector. I discourage people from buying it.
