I don’t typically comment but I have the 2023 rove lite 16rb. Such a neat little unit. 2034 pounds dry. Easy to tow with my single cab truck. More than enough space for me and my other half. Build quality is superb. No complaints at all.

2 comments, 1st Camp Oaks, you have the best reputation of any dealer I have ever known, I see people post how well you have taken care of them and even helped people who didn't buy from you! That is unheard of. Next unit I purchase will definitely be from you and worth the trip from Ohio to do so. 2nd, I was fortunate enough to get a personal factory tour from PJ back in July when we were camping nearby, he invited me to stop by and I did, it was refreshing to talk to PJ and hear his confidence in the product, they are not perfect but they are improving every day and will be the standard everyone else will have to match to stay in business. Its a leading edge product and something no one else does, they will certainly cause an upset in the market as others try to copy the technique. Thank you for doing this video and unfortunately this particular weekend that you posted it Travel Lite had their first factory rally of Rove's and I was not able to make it but I already had insight before this happened so meeting the people was the biggest downfall, next year I will be there and I hope Camp Oaks would attend! I’m THRILLED to hear you love your Rove and also got an amazing tour! Isn’t PJ great? The whole TEAM is wonderful! I love knowing that they give each person the same time and attention. It’s so refreshing in this industry! Even though you’re in Ohio, please consider that you have friends in North Georgia! You’re part of the Rove family, so I think that makes us related! ;)

I have a 2022 14bh and we do like it. It's great to have an option for a truly light trailer, this allowed us to avoid trying to get a larger tow vehicle with pandemic pricing at its worst when we were looking at trailers. I'd say 5 stars on outside design walls floor frame etc, interior 3.5 stars, I like the general layout but finish is a little wanting. Ive already moddwd trailer quote a bit some seem obvious to do, for example, I got a suburban kit to add a glass cover and recess the stove so we have counter space when the stove is closed, also got rid of the curtain in the shower and the door and replaced it with a Nautilus sliding door which gives more space in the wet bath, is lighter, and looks great. We also added a lifepo4 bat, moved it to the back garage. It's a good design and it has stayed cozy down to the teens F, I wish a little more was spent on the interior.

Thanks for your comments! Yes, the truck campers are built in the same factory. They were not using the same construction techniques 100% at that time due to a series of issues they had to figure out with framing. But then did coke out with their latest models, which also had no wood in them and had the fiberglass floor and roof construction!

I purchased a 2023 bh14 it's great only wish it had a bigger battery port and better fit and finish inside.. Staples are coming out don't seem to be long enough wallpaper bubbling a bit and the screw used for the Velcro to hold the cushions need a wider head and better glue as one is already coming off.

Got to tell you. I jumped to a conclusion. After watching the entire content, im 96% your right . The only way to know for sure would be knowing someone who owns one . And puts many miles of real-life conditions. Did build production models back in late 1976 - 78. And they were crappie motor homes. Southwind and pace arrow. 8 to 12 a day. After that, i built high-rise buildings until i retired .

Being as the frame is all aluminum, how do you attach the hitch that is steel? I know steel and aluminum have chemical reaction.
@campoaksrvoutdoors8722
@campoaksrvoutdoors8722 9 ай бұрын
The entire frame is aluminum but the aluminum frame is wrapped and protected from the opposing steel metal. We have to do that as well when we add spare tire carriers. Only the coupler itself is steel. The factory protects the aluminum frame before adding the coupler.

While I really respect what they are trying to accomplish with the RoveLite - no wood floor to rot, light enough to pull with out Tacoma (through the Rockies with no problem), aluminum constuction - all good ideas, but they missed the mark on quality. We have a 2022 14BH. Our frame has cracked in 4 different places, the grey water tank was full of debris and plastic pieces, our door wouldn't close, our table warped like a salad bowl, the storage compartment door leaked because the cutout was so scewed (three tubes of silicone later...), the bed frame was completely broken, one window leaked and the list went on. Now we have a pretty new trailer covered in weld patches, a table we made on our own, a bedframe we repaired and a monthly payment. I can't say I'd ever buy another one.

Wow! I’m so sorry that’s been your experience! I’ve been a Rove dealer since the first day they started building them and can honestly say I’ve never seen a trailer with these kinds of problems. Also I’m not sure why the dealer you bought it from didn’t find ALL of these problems before you ever took it out. Shame on them! If any of our trailers come in with any issues (though none have been as significant as this!), our customers would never know it because HOPEFULLY we do our part as a dealer and fix it all before it ever gets picked up! Every trailer out there is made on an assembly line and stuff gets missed. It’s our job to go through them again and find anything the factory missed. Granted, a cracked frame is pretty significant and I’m SUPER sorry you’ve had that problem. You’re the first I’ve heard of with that problem… I’m sorry it happened to you. We hope you still enjoy camping and making memories and we hope Travel Lite worked with you to make it right! They have always been a great company to work with for us! Blessings on your journeys!

I understand the aluminum tongue/frame will not allow a load leveling hitch or sway bars. Why? Is there an explanation from the factory? Also it appreas that the roof would be be walkable with that small 1 1/2 square tube roof framing. Did they talk about that?
@campoaksrvoutdoors8722
@campoaksrvoutdoors8722 Жыл бұрын
Yes! They have actually solved this problem with adding a mfg sway control on all the new campers. There’s several reasons you can’t add one after market- the most obvious is that you can’t mix metals! Secondly, the aluminum frame could get bent and twisted- it’s a lightweight metal and that’s the beauty of the Roves. We all feel grateful they have now solved this and included the sway control standard. The roof isn’t classified as walkable but it’s accessible with extreme caution. Obviously our techs have had to go on the roofs to check sealant and other things- but I want to be cautious in publicly calling it “walkable.” It’s accesible. Just use caution! :)

Thankfully Travel Lite is a company that has listened to their customers and fixed some of their initial issues. We have had so many testimonials of HAPPY customers that are absolutely loving their Roves. I will add that side a/C’s, regardless of camper brands have leaking issues if the drip pan is tilted even slightly inward. At our dealership, our years of experience taught us to look for this and we fixed the minor problem before they ever left the lot. Too bad other dealers don’t do their job on proper PDI’s and create bad reviews. Travel Lite quickly fixed that problem by making a fiberglass sleeve that wraps the A/C to prevent any water from ever coming inside so we haven’t had any further issues since then. That was on the early models. I would encourage you to take a second look! I would also encourage you to also check with current Rove owners (like those on the Rove Lite FB group) who have been very pleased with their camper!

I was excited.... Then I went and looked at one. VERY SHODDY workmanship. The concept is awesome but at this price point (25-30k) I would not expect to see caulking leaking out of seams and running down sides of camper also fit and finish inside is terrible cut wood ends unfinished, caulk & contact paper to hide many imperfect seams cheap blinds and on some units they don't even bother reversing the fridge door just and easy fix. Hopefully they can improve on quality control and fix some of these issues. Maybe Next Year. It really is a great concept!!
