I started planning in August and made my mom a knitting @advent calendar “ I bought a wooden crate. Bought the items, wrapped them in craft paper and tied on wooden number tags for all 25 days. We’re on day three. So far, she’s opened a sock stretcher, cat stitch markers and a print out of a digital project notebook. There’s so much cool stuff, and most is from Etsy makers.

I got into crocheting 6months ago and loving it! I’m an intermediate knitter but crochet always confused me until I found your channel and quite frankly you’ve been a god send in teaching me not only crochet but Tunisian crochet 😊 my 9yr old wants to learn but has ADD and gets easily distracted so I’m buying her a knitting machine so she can see what she has created and get the bug that way and hopefully she’ll pick it up with me 😂 love your channel!! ❤

Considering how much we’ve all been dependent on hand sanitizer these past two or three years, maybe some cute hand sanitizer cozies/carriers? Ravelry has some cute patterns. And of course, when in doubt, potholders/coasters are always a good thing to fall back on.

This year I’m making a pillow, a table runner for a coffee table, and a few Pokémon stuffed animals. The Pokémon ones aren’t so quick but using a basic stitch pattern for the pillow and granny squares for the table runner makes them simple and easy!

the maker’s board from coco knits IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE PURCHASE. i have my pattern, embroidery scissors, and darning needle on the board for easy access and then easily fold it up and put it with my yarn, along with the active project. it is SO worth it and SO practical.

Dear Toni, many thanks for once again a great video! Another idea re. gifts for crafters who use their hands: a hand cream. Very affordable, I know I usually keep a tube when I crochet or knit, since my hands can often be dry. Let's not forget our hands are our main tool and we all should take care of them. Can't wait for your next video and thank you for sharing your experience, tips and patterns! Love from France!

I second this.. Winter especially dries out my hands, and yarn can be slippery to hold with dry skin. When I start dropping stitches, I know to go moisturize! 😂

I really love your way to present and explain things, I find all your reviews very clear, entertaining and yet informative. Love this! And if you STILL don't know what kind of yarn to get, ask the maker in your life questions about what they're working on. I don't know anyone in the fiber crafting community that doesn't like to yammer about yarn and what projects they're working on for hours, giving you plenty of time to gather information about their preferences. If that fails, take a peek into their current project bag.

I'm Dutch so I grew up with Scheepjes. You have to use your throat for the 'sch' sound (it should not sound like 'sk'), which is a sound the English language doesn't have, and the double 'e' sounds like 'a' as in A-B-C. Good luck! :)
