I only now realized why they’re singing about red flowers (instead of rosy skies)… dendrobium, which grows on battlegrounds where a lot of blood was spilled, which fits with the rest of the song :c the lyrics are goofy but they’re also really sad

Since the song is about animals killed during the war and them reincarnating as a peacefully living onikabuto after the war is over, and the battlefields are covered in dendrobium which bloomed from the blood. And together with Ei and Miko’s conversation in the very end, and “upside-down” in the title of the song which was already mentioned a few times, this event gives me a really bittersweet feeling, I will probably look back at it in like two years and cry orz I don’t want everyone to be thrown into the warrr and especially not the Arataki Gang, comedy relief delinquent characters suffering always breaks my heart so much, they’re just so pure 😭

​@@rencotori probably you already know this but there is a letter from Heizo that the animals in the song are codenames used by the puppy union. Puppy union is a joint project by Watatsumi and Yashiro commission to assist unrelated people during the war. The animals used are the destination of those people. Unagi = Fontaine, Weasel Thief = Liyue, Bakedanuki = Inazuma, General Crab = Watatsumi.

JP VAs had an unfair advantage that every country outside of east asia don’t had, voice acting schools, to be a VA in japan is way harder than any country without voice acting schools, you learn how to excel perfectly in any character role for any jp VA, no only that you need to sing, perform live on stage, you also need to excel hard in saying tongue twisters, as singing in crazy hard tongue twisters. There are so many things to keep in mind there are also radio talk shows, doing animal roles and excel hard in it.

But Itto's VA is not a seiyuu, he has always been a singer. It's his main career for more than 20 yrs. Voice acting is just a side gig that he takes once in a while. So, what you just said doesn't apply to him. Edit : And no, not everything you said is entirely true. Yes, a lot of them are multi-talented (usually can sing) but that's not really the requirement because some of the most well-known jp voice actors can't sing at all, for example Sugitan. He can't sing and dance.

Even the old gen seiyuu sometimes has the requirements to be able to sing at least as an optional so the studio didn't need to hire additional singer for their OP and ED anime. The most popular name are Horie Yui who debut as seiyuu in 97 and then a singer the year after. Some of them even takes the singer job seriously and became famous (for example Imai Asami and Maaya Sakamoto). Well of course not all the seiyuu need to be a singer, but because the industry need to adapt to the times now it became one of the requirements

@@marcel9371 thats why I didn't include chara song . . . seiyuu barely sing chara song infront of fans unless the anime has "music/idol theme" like IMas, LoveLive, Utapri, etc seiyuu like nakamura yuichi, sugita tomokazu and sakurai yuichi are really popular without become an idol like it's not really a mandatory ofc some of them choose to sing bc they like it (well kamiya-san hate it but he still sing tho) but now almost all young seiyuu (male) I know are from IMas sideM, tsukiPro, ensemble stars, or other idol anime like uchida yuuma, enoki junya, hanae natsuki, umehara yuichirou, murase ayumu, horie shun, hatanaka tasuku
