The clear liquor that Pangzai drinks is most likely baijiu (白酒 ) which is a very popular drink in China. Its alcohol content can vary depending on the brand, but I have personally seen upwards of 50% (100 proof) baijiu when I lived in China. The stuff is no joke.

It’s most likely 白酒 (baijiu) in the shot glasses. It’s kind of like China’s version of soju or sake but it is RANK. Like straight gas water. It’s 30-60% depending on what brand you use. I bring small bottles back for friends and family when I visit home just to watch their reaction. But once you take a few shots it’s really easy to take several more and before you know it you’re trashed lol.
