Someone in my network became a career/life coach and offered people one free session in order to get her business off the ground. I decided to take up the offer because I was very curious and it was free. Well, I was frustrated by the end. I thought she was going to have actual resources or connections or concrete advice. It was more like a therapist. I'd say, "ultimately, I think I'd like to end up in X career so I think I should starting refining Y skill." And she'd say, "sounds cool, what kind of things can you do to help with that skill?" I thought that was the point when a career coach would throw out a suggestion or resource or something ("I hear the local university holds a weekend course that teaches that skill"). By the end, I was so annoyed at all of the open, probing questions. She contributed nothing.

These are low-paying, hard working, blue labored jobs that the youth of today should start at before accepting the much higher paying with no physical strain white collared jobs. Re: cody's question about how do people get started with these "mindset coach" jobs... ive seen some people come into that field, been friends with them on social media, etc.... and from what ive seen.... you hire your own "coach" for like 5k, then you get access to their secret group full of other "fired up and committed people" and then in the group you all add each other and make posts with cryptic phrases and try and show off stuff, trade strategies. then you all just promote each other and you just keep using the lingo... upgrade mindset... manifest the life of your dreams... people who are into that kinda shit, will be drawn to it. try and make a viral video or something.... then they just harp big time on how "you need a coach to lovingly call you out on your shit" and "upgrade your mindset" and talk about how much your coach did for you, etc.... weak people who need a therapist more than a life coach get pulled into that stuff.... PS: oh and the first requirement is be attractive. helps if youre a women and can post semi nude photos talk about "empowering your inner goddess mindset to manfiest the life of your dreams"..... helps with marketing
