the most worrying thing is how much train denies it. he says he’s not addicted, but gambles for around 20 hours a day and loses millions, it can’t be good for anyone. he says he tells his audience to not gamble, but carries on to do so himself. this can’t end well for him, he should really get help.

As someone who works at a casino where I "get" to watch a bunch of people lose their money for hours on end, I do not see how people watch that shit or even justify streaming it. It's seriously depressing coming in for a second shift and theres some guy from your last one that's been there the entire time, just playing the pokies. It's disgusting to promote it, too.

I grew up in Reno, Nevada and my father worked at one of the big casinos as a restaurant manager. As a kid, my mom would drop me off with him sometimes while he was working and it was horrible what you'd see. Parents with their kids there just gambling their life away at a slot machine and neglecting their children, multiple people who were just there every time I went in for months on end. It's horrible what gambling does to people. A friend of mine's dad literally committed suicide because he lost so much money gambling. It's a disease, I swear.

@@ImEmilyy__ both Cody and Noel had Better Help sponsorships in recent months. Don’t think that really matters. Get over the better help shit.. it’s literally an app that allows for mental health services through Telehealth, people need to read terms of services before getting upset over what is offered. Also that controversy was 2 years ago. Noel being sponsored by Better Help doesn’t correlate to this at all.
@giorgia.m
@giorgia.m 3 жыл бұрын
@@leann4265 If the mental health service provided is negatively impacting people’s mental health in the long run, it’s unethical. Its meant to be helping people. It’s like the main thing we are taught in psychology is that we have to do more good than harm and I don’t know if that can be said for better help. It runs against everything therapist, psychologist and counsellors are taught. Ethics is everything. And I think them accepting the sponsorship for something that may be unethical does say something about them and does play into whether Noel is cool with someone doing something unethical like this gambling stream. It’s all about supporting or promoting unethical things and the responsibility you have to your audience. It makes sense that if Noel is willing to look past the ethics of gambling stream then he would be with better help too. I’m not going to make judgments about it but it makes sense why this person is making that connection.

@@giorgia.mevery corporation is unethical. they (cody and noel) need sponsors to make money, being picky about the ethics of companies under an unethical capitalist system is not smart for them financially. also don’t know where u got the vibe that noel was “cool with” the unethical aspect of streaming gambling, he just accepts that it’s fucked up but he sees the entertainment value in watching degenerates be stupid with their money.

Ok, no offensive to my two golden gooses, but I feel obligated to mention: 1. All gamblers eventually lose, Train is no exception (I doubt his virtual machine is rigged in his favour to encourage others) 2. Train is likely not only addicted, but he's also desperate to find a reason to stream - much like other 'variety' streamers there's little left for them to offer to their viewers. 3. it's currently edgy content, streaming gambling but not only is currently without any liability, it's also just utterly boring, something that will soon become clear to their followers.

imagine if we could also watch all of the rolls of money lost with these gambling games. there wouldn't be enough time in the day.

Just gonna say this, if a big streamer is gambling, it’s never real.

That 2.5 million dollar win, if real, has a lower chance of occurring than a full odds shiny Pokemon in modern games since shinies are 1/4096 and the win was 5000 times his bet and there's a house edge too. Do note that crypto house edges are often much lower than casino house edges.

I can never understand gambling. I’m not fucking with my money *at all* not even a few dollars. I don’t care if there’s a possibility of a huge payout, it’s too risky and seeing these people get so addicted to losing money is wild.
