Excellent information. I have a 'click' in my jaw, probably clench my teeth when sleeping. I'm so pleased to know what I can work on to improve my jaw. I am incorporating some exercises for my back from another of your videos. Good stuff! Many thanks.

I have suffered with debilitating symptoms for 6 yrs now and no one believes me its from my TMJ and will not help me. My symptoms are dizziness, vertigo, brain fog, vision and hearing issues and pain jaw and neck pain and now due to not treating because no one will help me ....I have lost the ability to stand, walk, balance and alot more its frustrating and upsetting. A surgeon left me with this issue after saying I had arthritis in jaw which i now know I never did he was only after money to do arthocentitis injection into jaw woke up like this.😢 I believe the only thing that can help is a daytime orthotic but can't find anyone to make one. Could these exercises help me? And is it the jaw that causes neck issues or neck issues cause TMJ?

Hi Michelle! It’s been a few months since you posted your comment, and I sincerely hope things have improved for you. Typically, the body has an order of function that it follows, where deeper more central structures tend to be foundational more important, and impactful than more superficial and peripheral structures. Once dysfunction is present, then clearly it can work both ways - where TMJ dysfunction can affect neck function, and vice versa. However, typically, non-traumatic TMJ dysfunction is commonly a consequence of upper neck dysfunction. Hope that helps!

Try to sleep with a mouth guard they are found at CVS and wallgreens or the equivalent in your country. Sometimes we can apply up to 250 pounds of pressure in our sleep clinching the jaw while sleeping

Told the guy at hospital my jaw felt off, got rid of pain but still feels tight with tinnitus and sore when I touch. He said everyone jaw has different quirk. When I move my jaw my tinnitus changes, he said h can't do nothing for me. The pain was better than the tinnitus, Wana swap it back.
