Never seen anyone apart of that team online, but since I've found at least one person I can say it to, thank you for creating one of my all-time favorite childhood shows. I was hooked as a kid, had birthday parties, had lego sets and toys. Crazy to think about how much it actually was apart of my childhood. As someone who was a 2000s kid, I was surprised with how much I enjoyed season 1 of the series. I still think it holds up today. It was a lot darker than the later seasons (red sky seasons not withstanding) and I loved the animation done by Toei. I always liked how Shredder’s armor was shiny and how Krang moved and pulsed a lot more.

Man, you guys must’ve been lucky as hell! I was born at the ass end of the 90s (November of 1999, to give you an idea) and I never got to experience of how awesome the 80s or even the 90s must’ve been like. It sounds cool from a lot of comments on the internet. However, I did have a few VHS movies of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Popples shows and I watched Rugrats a lot on Nickelodeon so maybe I did have a taste of the 80s and 90s in my childhood come to think of it, but I wish I was around just for the experience.

Watching this just makes me appreciate the 2012 series that aired on Nickelodeon. It took me a little while to warm up to the characters but they absolutely nailed it. The characters, the action, the origins. I can't say enough about the show. They pay tribute to everything perfectly

Thinking back on it, something that hooked me with TMNT was largely in part that I'm the youngest of 4 brothers. I think part of me related to them on that aspect, and the Turtles in Time arcade game was perfect for us to play together. It was when I was older and in junior high when I started to really dig into the franchise between the movies and other renditions.

I think this show defined 80s kids that were on the verge of becoming teens in the 90s. Pizza, cool talking characters, fun music, etc. I remember how pizza became huge around this time. Everyone was all of a sudden eating it. I still have the intro song memorized.

I remember not knowing the TMNT schedule and on top of that our local TV stations would just shut the show off progamming due that they did not have the newest episodes or they would change the programming on a whim. Even though I must have watched your TMNT retrospective quite a few times over the years, I somehow always seem to forget half the things you say lol. For example, I totally forgot that this show ran for 9 whole frigin seasons. Like you said, I only remember up to maybe season 3 or 4 and figured it stopped there, because honestly, I have zero recollection of the red sky seasons at all. It's also a shame they just tossed Shredder and Krang aside...but such is the case for a lot of 80's cartoons I loved. Continuity wasn't something they really cared about back then. I especially remember being upset when they never reprised Raphael's love interest (Mona Lisa) lol - I sincerely loved the idea of him having a girlfriend and thought for sure she'd return as a regular character...but no, she was never spoken of again. Oh well, R.I.P. TMNT 80's cartoon, I'll never forget you and all the years of entertainment you brought me.

I remember watching random episodes of this show in the 90s,and saw tmnt 3 in theaters, I tried rewatching recently but it is hard to get through.

It must have been more than 1 season per year. No way the original show was on for 10 years until 1997.

36:33 Fun fact, the animation here, was done by TMS, a Japanese studio who also worked on stuff like Scooby Doo Zombie Island, and the Tiny Toons specials
