4:21 It's no problem to remove the chain. The loop that's attached to the shackle is a non-solid ring, like any connector chain pieces from the hobby/jewelry department. Take some needle nose plyers (or whatever), and bend the ring ever so slightly to remove the chain & ball, or bend it more to remove that looped piece off the shackle. Either way, it's super easy.

Yeah, Super7 has a pretty good track record of knowing what fans want in their lines.

Which waves do you mean? If you mean 7 & 8, they've got the Triceraton, Guerilla Gorilla, and Genghis Frog. As for the variants, the only ones that don't have all-new sculpts are Shredder (new hybrid paint scheme) & the Metal Michelangelo. Apart from those two, all the other releases in those two waves have mostly- or all-new parts. Besides, you know people would pitch a fit if there weren't at least one Turtle in every wave, and some people really like those weird variants. *I* don't, but I don't begrudge them their preferences, either. Anyway, the more slots that get taken up with variants, the longer I can give my wallet a break until Wyrm, Hothead, or Scale-Tail show up.

Real treasure? Nah, Scratch and Spot are so over rated. This figures were sitting like ducks in the toy shelfs, nobody wanted them. The only kid i knew that had this figures was a spoiled rich kid who had every single figure from the toy line, he had his own toy room, and it was like entering a mini Toys r Us. There's no nostalgia factor connected to the real fans with these figures.

Great figure. And I fortunately have his og from when I collected as a kid. And I remember Bubsy(my cousin she loved that game lol) Fun fact, Scratch was originally going to be a little pack in buddy with Nocturno the owl who only appeared in the TMNT mag and Archie comics(in the comics he was a part of the Uncanny Trio with Scarecrow Crow and Hallocat, a black cat). Funny they cancelled the owl and turned Scratch into his own figure. Always wanted that owl lol Also Scratch appears in a GameBoy tmnt game

Great review! I've noticed a lot of times when they've got hands that are super similar to each other, the wrist articulation is different...like up and down instead of side to side for the hinge.

LOL at the Bubsy reference! One of the coolest thing about this new wave is that their weapon sprue thing is in the style of one of their accessories. If you don't like the real chain here, you can paint up the weapon sprue and use that instead.

Sorry I'm late to say this but "ALL he ever appeared in" is not true. He was based on one of the characters who also appeared in a one off issue of the Archie TMNT comics. Unless I'm remembering wrong. I hate to be THAT GUY if I'm remembering wrong. But I think a totally different looking version of him is in one of the Archie TMNT issues with two other mutants in a town where everyone thinks it's haunted but really these three mutants are haunting it. One of them is a cat who gets thrown in the ooze. But he is blue and looks more like Benny the Ball from Top Cap than this. He probably was designed by Ryan Brown who did action figure designs too and this is way too long ago for me to remember enough to be an authority on this.

It is really weird that the ball and chain is not removable, Scratch in the video games even held and used it as weapon

It actually can be removed, you just have to bend the loop at the end of the chain as it’s split and not a continuous piece. It’s very pliable and easy to do if you want the chain off. Obviously, if you were to do it a lot you might risk the loop breaking eventually, but once in awhile is probably safe enough.

@@joehodgson9217 That's not quite the same as being able to remove the shackle, though, which is what I think most people mean. Especially given that the solid-color weapon rack has the shackle, ball, and chain as an accessory, too, but no feasible way of using it.

Apparently the super 7 ultimate is taller and bigger than the original playmates figure. I'm also getting my first two ultimates in the mail soon. I am worried on how loose my figures joints are gonna be especially since Mattel's and super 7's ultimates have had a past of releasing about every figure with some form of loose joints.

TMNT was my 2nd.I rememebred I was in Jr High like 7th grade in 92.But I stopped with TMNT. Soon as Transformers Generation 2 hit shelves those were my Main thing.I remember I had an Allowance back then.Kind of wished I still bought both when I had Extra money.I think The 94 tmnt stuff & higher then that are harder to find..Yes TMNT was my 2nd after Transformers.Never knew this guy existed til years later. This may be the only way for me to get a scratch the cat.I never did see the tmnt news van in my stores in town here. .I remember KB toys had TMNT on Liquidator prices That is what got people in the stores.

11:21 I actually like the original head sculpt better. Yeah, they didn't do it as good of a job as they could've. Made the character look more cartoonish and cutesy. It's interesting with the amount of details that they didn't stay faithful to, like a lot of the tears. No big deal, just interesting.

The truth is that he doesn't seem like the great character to me, he is and continues to be a filler character, whom nobody liked and because of the collectors he became so expensive, this Scracht S7 is fine, but I say that Hot Spot is a lot better and sure S7 will get it very detailed greetings 👏🏻🇦🇷

I really want to love this line, but the turtles were disappointing to me. Also, I know it's their "house" style, based kinda on a more modern version of motu, but I really wish s7 would do more with their articulation.

@WoodCraft Kits I mix and match my TMNT Word(Figures), as I do with ALL my figures. Its just 1 big World. So this figure is 7 inches. There for i want to compare it size wise with most 6 inch figures.
