A friend of mine usually books two seats on one of the bus services who I usually bring and wait with her at the terminal. While waiting, I see the service lady looking at us talking to a man. I can't read lips, but I can read people and I somewhat said loudly, "Imma tell you right now, you better not come over here and ask her for that seat". I was appalled how ignorant the lady service worker was because I know she saw my "angry man " look and the requester for the seat turned and looked at us before I spoke. There should be a ruling not to disclose someone's personal information at such a position in a company.

THEY judge she was "not injured" enough to warrant the 2nd seat. Its the same with the medical industry. that is why when BW go into the hospital; we dont come OUT. Southwest Airlines did the SAME thing to me & my assistant in 2016. I wrote a detailed letter explaining everything. They responded back with "it's at pilots' discretion." I never dealt with pilot. The flight attendant was nasty & discriminatory.

I was a former flight attendant for one of the major 3. And yes some of these FA’s are rude and suspected racist Karens and Kens. It’s a power trip for them. As a black woman I realized early that environment was not for me. I hope she sues the hell out of them!!!

How did a person without a ticket/seat board a full plane to even confront another passenger about being able to use the extra seat she purchased for extra leg room???? That in itself seems like a total security breech. Is there more to this story because it feels a little incomplete..??? If there isnt then I dont blame her for feeling mistreated by the airline, not to nention letting a non-ticket holding passenger being allow access to a full plane of passengers to ask her themselves if they coukd use her extra seat only to find out there was no funeral they were suspose to attend?! If I paid for two seats then those are MY two seats. If I paid for two seats and want to put my purse there that's my business. I always choose an aisle seat so I can stretch my leg because I had an Achilles replacement and sciatica. This family wanted to sit together and use my empty seat. Like no book your seats together like everybody else who has kids. It's not like the seat was given to me I had to pay for it! I would definitely not give up my seat

IF you fly SWA in future and purchase 2 seats please request from Ops Agent that the "A" FA is notified. When you preboard (yes do, because of your knee), ask "A" FA for "this seat is taken placard". Hoping my hints are helpful ~ sounds like a lot of miscommunication, & SWA was trying to help the "get to funeral guy". Not handled well @ all. BUT, unfortunately if anyone causes pushback it goes from FA, to Ops Agent, to Capitan, and you're off that plane... ❤

I would like to hear Southwest Airlines comments about this situation. Something don't sound right with this. Did the airlines consider reimbursing her for the second seat she paid for and was supposedly force to give up and get off the plane? Just because you purchase a second ticket, is there something in small writing that says your seat may not be available if another seat is needed for the flight. Not's saying she's not be truthful. But this is only one side of the story.

I flew Southwest once. It was a bad experience. I've never booked with them again. They have poor standards, and they are disorganized. I will pay for a more expensive airline ticket for quality and better customer service.
