Morgan is all class, and this was all Morgan. Scott arranges but gives the artist a lot of room to express themselves. Morgan now has an extensive catalogue - PMJ tours, musicals, covers, original material. A genuine performer and person.

Just a quick background on Morgan. She is a Julliard trained opera singer who went on to musical theatre and was highly acclaimed for her work, however she prefers jazz and so that's how she got involved with PMJ.
@homeslice19582 жыл бұрын
Respectfully, based on what I've seen of Morgan's work and her interviews, I think that she loves soul and R&B more than anything else. She has the amazing ability to cover a song in a way that honors the original song while also making it uniquely her own. There are multiple songs that I've thought 'no one could EVER improve on the original', and Morgan James has made me rethink that perception , time after time.
@masonsteele2613 жыл бұрын
Scott on piano, is the founder, and does all of the arrangements. Morgan is classically trained, with roots in theater. Morgan never has, and never will be "tuned". She refuses any work requiring autotuned production. She's also a sweet, wonderful, humble human.

"Creep" performed by Haley Reinhart is by far the best music video ever done by PMJ. As besides staying on the Billboard Digital Jazz Chart for 58 straight weeks, it is also the first and only PMJ music video to exceed 100 million views. In fact, PMJ music videos featuring Haley Reinhart own all the top spots as far as view counts are concerned on PMJ's very extensive and very popular music KZbin channel.

The reason it doesn't sound "rehearsed" is because it isn't. PMJ just schedules a room, brings in the performers and shoots it. Period . . . ONE TAKE (then they move onto the next tune). When you factor that in, this performance is even more amazing.

Hi Coach really enjoyed your reaction and your appreciation for music and talent. But you cannot leave this earth without reacting to Diana Akudinova., covering I can’t help falling in love. She is the flipside of Dimash . She is 18 years old she is a dramatic contralto with her ability to sing with polyphonic overtones. You will not think that it is real or they put some effect on her voice but I guarantee you it is the real thing she has many other songs of which she can do the same thing. You will have to blow the image to avoid copyright issues but I assure you it is well worth it. She has a one and 1 billion Voice I cannot stress enough that you react to her.

It took me a while to believe an Opera singer was so well able to shift her voice this way. She's stripped all the theatrically out. I mean it's dramatic, but in a more grounded way.

@blueisback36833 жыл бұрын
@@tnae I will have to check out that Dimash reaction. His latest stuff is getting blocked so either go back to earlier stuff, lot of great stuff from The Singer 2017 or Sinful Pasion or Hello. For Katrina it depends on what you like. Go the Distance on the wish bus is where most start, unless it's One Sweet Day with Budakhel, which is a cover of the Mariah Carey and Boys to Men hit. I say this version is 3 grown men and the Trinity Slayer.

That first phase that included the long sustain is worth noting. Morgan took a 1-beat breath before the word MAYBE. MAYBE you should go back and pay more attention. BTW, that was a jazz riff plucked on the cello and it was also remarkable. Not worthy of criticism "all those imperfections", huh? . And she "finally" did what? Maybe you could explain more clearly what she "finally" did. Good lord...

If you think Morgan James with PMJ is good. Wait until you react to Haley Reinhart with PMJ. As Haley is easily the best vocalist by far to have ever performed with PMJ. In fact, Haley was the first vocalist to perform with PMJ to have a music video exceed over 100 million views. As no other vocalist performing with PMJ has ever came close to matching Haley in view counts. Hence, let me suggest you react to Haley Reinhart's cover of "Creep" with PMJ. As that cover of "Creep" stayed on the Billboard Digital Jazz Chart for 58 straight weeks before becoming the first PMJ cover to surpass 100 million views. To locate it, just type, Haley Reinhart "Creep" in the search box and hit search.

Haley Reinhart. No classical training yet her mastery of her instrument is on par with Floor Jansen. Morgan also has a wicked sense of humor. All three a joy to behold and listen to.
@theblackdog23993 жыл бұрын
I almost agree with you but Haley Reinhart's vocal control exceeds that of Floor Jansen.
@bertjones30103 жыл бұрын
@@theblackdog2399 If you insist, but all things considered I obviously disagree. If it makes it any better, Haley has been my favorite artist for the past decade. Both have skills. Floor has longevity and actual vocal training and she puts on a masterclass every time she sings. Simply and singularly impressive. If I had to go see one or the other I'd pick Haley, except if it were 2013 Wacken then it would be Floor but that's because of hind sight. Oh, I was introduced to Floor only this year on Beste Zangers. Apparently you're not that familiar with her. We're not talking a huge difference between them.

Vocally, there is nothing worthy of reacting to because the vocals by both performers are just run of the mill and average. Now the performances of the two of them and especially of Haley were cute. Nonetheless, since this reactor is a vocal coach, having him react to a music video with no vocal dynamics like Mad World would just piss him off.
