Restaurants come and go as fickle-food fixations change. One study by Ohio State University found that up to 60% of restaurants close or get new owners within their first year of operation. So, when Rob Wilds heard about a restaurant that is still going strong after more than 50 years, he knew he had to try it. Join Nashville Public Television's Tennessee Crossroads to find out more about Dairy King.

Ate there a lot. The best food you could get in Nashville. And all of the Jones were super. Will never forget, and GOD bless them all!

It is now out of business as of August 01, 2020 Covid killed the business. Went to junior high with Jeff. So sorry to see it go. Wish Jeff and his family the best.

Covid didn't kill it, stupid politicians did. As soon as they ordered every thing closed, their pay should stop.

Thats too bad, But Wally Mart was allowed to stay open and have over 200 people in their store. They should sue the city like most are doing around the country. Incompetent, Politicians who cant manage a Baby's Birthday Party....

It was a bittersweet moment when it closed. On one hand it's upsetting that a landmark restaurant like that closed. But on the other hand I'm happy for Jeff and his family to have made enough money where they could retire. I will say I don't think the second location had the magic of the first corner stand. My grandmother had her first job at that first dairy king in the early '50s.
