Fun fact: this song was written for the comically suicidal Dr. Painless in the movie M.A.S.H. to be sung during his "Last Supper" scene. The director's stipulation for the song was that it was supposed to be "stupidest song ever written". The director tried to write the lyrics, but couldn't think of anything dumb enough with his 45 year old brain. So he gave it to his 14 year old son, who came back with the full lyrics in five minutes. That kid has been getting royalties for the song ever since.
