Kudos on Dead Zone! Was wondering if/when someone would publish a run using that technique. Had the idea around 2010 or so, recorded proof-of-concept videos in 2014 for assembly into something for KZbin, but never uploaded anything except some unlisted parts last May. But now put out a video today showing an example of the same trick, but using a Lost Soul (and linked to your video, of course). Anyway, congrats again, well done sir. :)

I won't lie, I was a bit disappointed that you could only lure the deaf cacodemon out and you'd miss out on the pain elemental. Then the other friendly tomato decided to show up and I was left hopeful, when I heard the meatball's alert sound I literally made a victory jump off my chair! Congrats :D

this guy quietly buried one of the 25 greatest moments in doom history in the last fifth of his 3rd part of his 7 part playthrough of the less-beloved half of the least-played Doom game in the idtech1 series. as if we all wouldn't see it. as if we didn't realize what a triumph it was. a king who feels no need to flex with his crown. absolutely stunning.

1:28 -- "Useful Imps" sounds like a good name for a metal band. Well, there had to be something metal about the level, because the soundtrack is obviously not! 4:33 -- decino: "Let's not die". Also decino, 10 seconds later: Walks past an obvious stimpack. 7:32 -- obligatory drink to victory. 14:32 -- obviously not faster than the baron. 15:15 -- "fingers crossed"? Or rather "fingers broken into the crossed shape by that baron"? 15:57 -- well, at least you didn't learn anything from that baron encounter. 21:38 -- wrong mod, buddy. 21:41 -- maybe making a bonsai. No one ever appreciates the tender artful soul of a space marine. 22:27 -- with disasters like Chernobyl and Fukushima, you're probably giving them too much credit by assuming that there was an actual reason for dropping the keycard there. 28:30 -- I'd make a snide comment, but your performance in the fight says it all better. 35:22 -- so, making the architecture clearly visible makes the game ugly? Well, that's one way to compliment the level designers. 36:25 -- on today's episode of "John Carmack and His Passing Relationship with Hitboxes" -- an unfortunate Pain Elemental. 39:34 -- huh, who knew that lost souls undergo elastic collisions with floors? 47:27 -- someone call David Attenborough, there is a decino specimen showing actual emotion. And congrats on un-breaking the broken kill count in the Dead Zone! Another mind-wreaking surprise from ~ 25 years old game!

Nice playthrough. Just a note, one of the reasons you probably were low on ammo is that you missed two backpacks in Map 14. First one is in the lava pit early on where you meet the chain gunners up top. Second is also in the first two chain gunner rooms of the map, when you ride the secret lift to the top where the two tiny crushers are and open the secret door with the chain gunner, he is hiding a backpack.
