New Fuel pressure regulator helped me with first time starts cheap and easy fix

I was thinking about that… unfortunately the fuel pressure regulator for the m104 is not cheap at all.

Hi, i have been seeing your video today. I see that your old EHA is good and ther is no defect in this part through your Star engine in begining your video where is the engine started smoothly but i see the economy guage in your dashboard goes to the red mark, which is an error and indicates fuel consumption, and it must go to the far end of the black mark so that the engine is comfortable and quiet in idle mode. So you should check the calibration of your air flow sensor by adjusting it through A device that measures CO2. So you have to visit specialist mechanical in order to calibrate. Thanks

Nice video, very clear for anyone wanting to make the same investigation. Shame no happy ending!

Thanks. Very much a learning process for me, so naming tools or parts might not always be correct :D such is the journey

Hopefully you can figure this out in the next video!

The same thing happened to my 260E... Suddenly there was a smell of fuel and you could see a dripping line..... It is the only part that I have changed on my Mercedes due to failure. Not to mention wear and maintenance parts

Seems like you're actually learning as you go. #1, You didn't have to disassemble the air filter housing, just remove it as is. Also, the one pin wire is for the transmission kickdown solenoid. The other end is routed to the transmission, on the m103 both connections are secured towards the back of the engine block.

I am! Of course I try to do enough research beforehand... #1 Someone else also told me pretty much immediately after I uploaded the video, not doing that extra step anymore haha. #2 That is very interesting. When I kick down, I am definitely getting the shift down. Now I am wondering if that's just a natural shift down?? I couldn't really see any place to plug the pin in... Also mines an m104, but that probably doesn't change any of your statement

If you have any sources or pics that could help me regarding that one pin wire, please let me know!

Just google m104 kickdown solenoid and search until you find it.

@@ArcticWhite300TEExcuse me, how can I replace the fuel pump fuse in a 1996 Mercedes Benz E320?

When the engine is cold it have to be some1200 revs and soon decreses to regular 800-900.thats the way it should be.
@ArcticWhite300TE2 ай бұрын
I am not too sure about that. Definitely agree that when cold starting it will be higher first, but once reaching temperature, a lot of documentation suggests that the rev count should be between 600 and 750 for the m104. Although I'd also suggest that age of the vehicle components and the difference in fuel compared to 35 years ago, have an influence on what is considered normal. Overall, I'm actually not fussed too much about my idle, as long as its stable and the numbers aren't crazy high or low. After having had it at the mechanic recently, he adjusted the fuel mixture screw, and now it will sometimes surge when warm. I deliberately didn't touch that screw for exactly that reason...

@@ArcticWhite300TE acoeding to what i have learned about KE cold start it is like that.i can record that it with my w201 first generation KE.there is specified time i think some twelve secconds rev are1200 and after that drops the way it should be.if you follow the chanell fix your mercedes there is video about that in w124 .the ECU sends voltage certain time depending to temp sensor to cold start valve to regulate revs.the EHA is receiving voltage depending on temp sensor and other compinents like potentiometter.it is also recomended not let mechanics to adjust fuel mixture screw same as the adjusment on the EHA.i am not KE specialist i am classic mercedes owner but i am trying to fix my mercedes cos it there is no obd2 port it is mechanicall system with fine adjustments as you previously said.

The o ring of the EHA adjustment screw is cracked or missing

Fuel accumulator if no start when cold start in the morning. Turn key in on position for 10 seconds. It should start right away

is this also for W124 300TE M103 engines?
@ArcticWhite300TEАй бұрын
Hey, yes an m103 will also have an eha valve. It wont be the exact same part, as the the valve itself will be configured slightly different to suit the engines needs.
