i used to think the same as you do, but i figured out that it was just like a placebo effect, because you literally hampering ur dpm by firing double; so the only time i double shot is when a tank is in the region of 500 - 700 hp so i can finish it off with one salvo

I've played the tier 8 and 9, I've between 58 and 60% WR with these tanks. I only double to finish a tank or when I'm sure I've the time to fully reload. The second shell is great because that dissuades enemies to attack you after shooting. It's a normal heavy line with a ace in the sleeve.

the tier 9 is just fabulous! My fav tank by far, not using any premium equipment/consumables and very rarely fire premium shells and have an average 65% WR!

I've been playing the IS 2 II and I'm actually in love it's such a good tank to push off angles and bully medium tanks or give enemies an unsuspecting death from the double shot. Can't wait to get the monstrous tier 9 tank and see how much better that feels.

I'd say the tier VIII is2-II is also very nice. Low alpha is compensated by both good reload time and double shot making it great for tracking enemies and delivering a devastating salvo when needed.

I think the double/ auto reload tanks were an awesome addition to the game. They were implemented in a way that doesn’t make them outright stronger than all the other options too, but due to the mechanic, they’re also more flexible than many of the other options. Some of my favorite tanks for that reason.

I own this tank. It was my second tier X. I absolutely love this thing! One of my battles, it was a loss but I limped away with over 12,000 damage blocked and 5,000+ damage! I sure wish I had been recording that battle…

Let me simplify this for people, using the double barrel shot is literally the definition of situational. Quickybaby himself has a video where he is showing exactly that in one of his highlights where he's being harassed by three tanks and it was until the final tank that he used the double-barrel shot.

QB you are wrong about the Strv103-0's upper plate armor. Theres actually very little bit of 50mm playe and rest if the tank is 40mm armor, meaning that bouncing a 122mm caliber gun in a Strv 103-0 is like a miracle

I now have the 703II and at first, it was very hard to play, but now that my crew is getting better, my wins have started to increase. I do wish the ammo was a little better for the battles with tier tens. Thanks, QB for the video.

Yeah i just got done 3 marking the IS-3-II and I loved every bit of it getting it done in 96 games, I was consistently getting 4-5k plus damage combined making for a very EZ yet fun 3 mark !!!

Looks like a great tank on PC, I’m on the console version of the game and this would look insane to have. I’d most likely use the two shots when taking shots where I am trading with a hard hitting tank like in the situation with the 60TP, it’s probably better that I only peak when and shoot when he exposes his lower plate thus I might as well fire 2 shots and go into hiding until I reload the 2 shells again. I think firing one might be a waste since we’ll you might as well try and hit the double

they need to buff that intra clip reload so it can compete with vz 55. vz is superior in every aspect maybe except side armor but if enemu knows that st II has tier IX armor on front hull they will pen you every time so that part should also be buffed a bit and as said before intra clip reload or flat reload speed buff

When I double, it seems the chance for both to hit (let alone pen) seems to be awful. So, I am conditioned to only double when the target area is enormous and weakly armoured.

I got an ace tanker with IS-3-II yesterday. I think i only have turret unlocked, everything else is stock, from IS-2-II, even the gun. Tank is broken.

Looking at this from the wot console version the double barrel tanks are balanced unlike the broken armadillo that has 4 barrels and a 16 round clip. I’m also happy to say wot console has the StrumTiger with the largest gun in the game with a 380mm. Personally I’d love to see quickie baby do a review on the StrumTiger for console and see his thoughts 💭.

bottom line is: this tank is a two round autoloader medium with higher armour that can switch from autoload 2 shots at medium close range to big alpha OHKO from range. preety much a bulky STRV that instead of siege mode, he has two shot in one click at range.

The assumption that shooting the second shot lowers your dpm is pretty bad in my opinion. If you always wait for the full reload of the second shot, you are just a regular tank. If you shoot the second shot after the cooldown, however, you basically get 50% off the reload for your next shot compared to what an identical single-shooter would get. Sure, then you are empty, but your dpm isn't really any lower. You just got a 50% off shot Plus, it's very easy to find 20 seconds in WoT when there is nothing to shoot. This isn't like an autoreloader where you get worse DPM when you go deeper in the mag. This tank doesn't care whether you have a shot or not loaded (sorry if my explanation is a bit convoluted), it still reloads just as fast. Just shoot the second shell whenever you can, try to double when it's an easy shot - paper tanks, short range, static targets, and so on.

I only have the IS 2 2 I have mastered it with over 5000 dmg. U did not shoot any double barrels that game but I did double shoot tanks instead I would pump one into the tracks then let them repair shoot the second then by the time they fixed there tracks most the time I would have a third shot into them. Most my double shots I've tried to take nit very many double pinned so I only double shoot if I'm mopping up at the end of the game.
