These days I'm really struggling with my studies, because I'm at a point where I have to improve my vocabulary and thats in my opinion the most boring part. But nonetheless I still click excited on every video you upload because I love the way you explain things.

I know what you mean... vocabulary always require my active memorization, so we actually have to do serious "studying"... 😐 I think the fact that you are watching these videos will help! You brain will notice it when you see these again later, and you know, they will all come together at some point!

Same I need vocarbs at my point too, but I can't usually keep most of them In my head for long periods of time if I don't use them, even if I know the word, I just have to think hard and long to try and guess it if I see it... But I realized one thing, most of the worst I know off head and just regularly and normally are the words I use most, like in text books, say 알다 (to know) I have seen so many examples with this word to the point where I know it off head, with others too, so in my opinion, if you don't see the words regularly and use them normally, like not forcing your self to use that specific word it will naturally stick, it's just all time, plus having someone talk Korean with you always to keep your head in that state

One of my IG followers has mentioned about this, Korean having multiple verbs for "open" but haven't made a video about it yet... and watching this video confirms how difficult it must be for the learners to master all the verbs to say to open something! I will share this video with her for sure!

펴다 has a lot of other meanings as well, including “to spread,” including spreading, say, peanut butter on bread: 땅콩버터를 잘 펴서 발라. Spread the peanut butter evenly.

Actually, seems like, according to NAVER dictionary, 펴다 can be used in _a lot_ of different ways, from _shrink with fear,_ with “못” (기를 못 편다) to _square one’s shoulders_ (어깨를 펴다) to _launch or fight a guerilla war_ (게릴라전을 펴다) to _shower somebody with gifts_ (선물 공세를 펴다)-and those are just a few. So it’s a pretty versatile word.

Hello Billy... this is a great video as I have often wondered about this. Having the corresponding antonym for each "to open" word would be really helpful though as I am guessing there would be different "to close" verbs for each "to open" verb as well. Anyway, thank you for this video 😊
