I only use the FLOTit because you are never disturbing anything on the bottom of the keg. All my original dip tubes had been shortened but you are still drawing from the bottom. I have about 8 of Trongs dip tubes and they are the best. Worth the little extra cash plus you are supporting the inventor for his ingenuity.

The FLOTit 2.0 is probably my "Product of the Year" and it might be my favorite keg accessory of all time!

This has always been bugging me when I read recipes. Flameout, ok, but how long, whirlpool, but at what temperature, hopstand, but are you cooling down or holding the temperature? Hopspider or loose? Dry hop temperature? What's a recipe good for when all these variables are unclear? I'll just keep on brewing Pils and Alt, no wild late additions and dry hopping 😉

yeah, I fear that I've been doing late-stage hop additions wrong too - lol. Thankfully, I haven't had any issues with just throwing my hops in immediately after turning the heat off (when my recipe calls for that). I can't recall a single recipe we used to sell that specified any temps for post-boil hop additions.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is the very short dip tube a gas post upgrade, I’d hate to try and attach the silicone tube to that one when installed.
