My grain mill said to use an brush to get the dust off. (Air compressor would be better) it also said to occasionally put a few drops of vegetable oil to lube it. I have never done that but those were the directions.

Josh you are correct about the direction of the AHA. We may have seen the last National Beer Judging competition as well for homebrewers in 2024. Since the BA funds a large portion of the AHA, I believe a splinter group will form in place of the AHA for the homebrewing community in the next couple of years that is not beholden to the BA. This group will also sponsor events such as regional beer comps and maybe a national event in say 3-5 years from now because of the planning/logistics and most importantly the money that is needed to fund such events.

I jam my grain mill up by fine grinding at times. I have to let it run wirh no grains for a little after crushing large volumes. Cheers 🍺 🍻

I don't have an air compressor to clean my malt mill, so I use my leaf blower. I'm just a little concerned that the malt dust will draw moisture and cause rust.
