So lovely to find a whole KZbin channel devoted to Mary Pickford! She was a brilliant actress, and more people should get to discover her and see her talent for themselves. The print of this film is remarkably sharp and clear - even the detail on the curate's chair, the tablecloth, the trim on the theater curtain, etc, show up like it was filmed yesterday. Wonderful!

I'm guessing the use of a crucifix and not plain cross in the church and the title of curate was meant to denote Anglican/Episcopalian. Though Canadian Catholic in early real life she married her second husband Douglas Fairbanks Sr., at Pickfair estate blessed by an Episcopal service.
