1. How they treat people who can't benefit them. 2. How they handle minor inconveniences. 3. Their relationship with time and commitments. 4. How they act when they think no one is watching. 5. How they handle power. Event the smallest amount. These observations are equally powerful when turned inward.

This video is incredibly insightful! The connection between Stoicism and observing someone's true character is so profound. Learning to focus on these key traits helps us build deeper, more authentic relationships while staying aligned with our values. Keep the good work, thank you.

Americans often say.. You British are so polite! As if that's something extraordinary. The same could be said of the Japanese. It a cultural trait. Having a degree of consideration for others as individuals doesn't lessen one's own individuality. Being a grown up instead of a child throwing a tantrum, says alot about the society you come from.

I am like that supervisor I still get frustrated with rush hour and when my mobile phone does’nt work Should we be robots??? Always keeping our calm??? I don’t think so I am a human being with feelings Let the ancient Romes be strategic and without feelings…!!!
@rosevan784520 күн бұрын
Robots can't see the beauty of good or the ugliness of evil so I am not sure which emotional system you find robotic. Calm in the mind is different than calm in the body and it takes time as was stated in the vid. My understanding was that those mediterrainian types were very emotional and had big feefees so how ancient are we talking, ancient is a long long time. There is no reason to plan your life for a rush hour when you can pace your life for calm. There is no help for a mobile phone, they belong in a cage like superman intended. I also am a human being and I find these words to be like the man said, no shame in quoting a bad author if the line is good, how current is that?

these are all good stuff so far but the thing is i never seen anyone who cares other than how fat your wallet is. So unless there is an some sort of after life. All of these are pointless. Except you wouldnt like to live in a society full of narcissist, selfish , unrespectfull, cheater-fraudsters. Which translate nothing in the personal level.

I would love to have a real life. Yez i believe time is so much importance. Its about the last time i want to hear how people get to choose their own destiny that does not apply to the chosen ones. Dont lie on the real truth. Bc chose. Ones are rare. N very very extremely good n the tryth is that the baddest people can also be fooling everyone

The integrity and morality of the Greek philosophers was such that they not only had but felt strongly that it was their right to 'own Slaves', as their society was built upon slavery and was so morally bankrupt that it also promoted homosexuality (an ungodly and sinful act many would say) so why do we pay them so much homage?

It’s a different culture and I don’t know if some of them dated pre-Christianity. So doesn’t mean everything they said was wrong.

Sweetie, you really must learn to respect the great thinkers of ancient times without using today's standards. Every ancient society had customs/mores that are rejected in modern times. That's called progress. 😅🎉😅
