This seems like a room reverb and the more you turn up the decay, the larger the room gets. With the shimmer blended in it's a really cool sound- not sure if I would use it much tbh, my music is a bit dark for "shimmer' but- I like the reverb tank. Has a very lonely vibe to it- like a sweet sadness- I like that.

Well if I ever wanted to play music to put the daughter to sleep got to use this pedal it’s about as mystical and floaty as you can possibly imagine. Some really great Melodic and chilled vibes with the pedal. Didn’t think I would like it but I do 💁🏻‍♂️👍🎛

Wow ... sold. Love this channel. I’ve spent a lot of $ on pedals as I rebuild my rig (long-break), and spending less on a Caline as a 2nd delay turned out to be wise. Here’s my reverb! I’d that a Teltronics compressor over 👉🏻

I wanted to use this pedal for solos and stumped across one at our local shops. I was just curious though, If you turn the shimmer knob totally off... can you get it to a setting similar (or closer) to a plate/room reverb (or just like any normal reverb) without the shims?

Shimmer is, as the guy at the right says, difficult and very personnel. i like this sound, just as the shimmer from Walrus Audio Descent and maybe the Fluorescence from tC and the shimmer from Zoom Ms50g. That kind of more broken , diffused shimmer. Not the BlueSky shimmer, Neunaber shimmer, Polara shimmer. Maybe not the Ventris shimmer (never tried myself), .... Too beautifull and angelic for my ears. Some other shimmers someone knows that are close to this Wonderland kin of shimmer ? It is difficult to find Caline pedals in Europe, but not impossible.

Another decent pedal by Caline at a really cheap price if you want it, sounds nice enough, but I’m not a fan of shimmer at all, it’s probably my least favourite verb as it’s too bright for me, I’m actually a little fed up seeing how many pedals now really highlight it cos it has shimmer on it, so I’ll definitely be passing on any shimmer pedal no matter how good it maybe, I can live without it and prefer using so many other types of verbs to get my desired sound.

I feel the same about shimmer...there are really only a very few select reverbs and delays that do shimmer well...this one is almost there...but I really like this reverb without the shimmer. It’s a really nice dense reverb with just the right amount of pre-delay

The only downside of this pedal is that when you turn off the switch, the reverb suddenly stops also, it doesnt have a reverb trail
