Perry Frank has a KZbin clip where he pairs Caline's Wonderland with this Mariana... When played together they generate some amazing ambient soundscapes bordering on Strymon's Blue Sky.

Thanks guys for the demo video, if I was to say a typically English saying “It’s not quite my cup of tea” this one really, but I’m sure it will be kool for many other players. My favourite two presets are the Propeller & The Deep, both sound the most useable for me, but I’m sure if I had one I’d enjoy it and use it in many ways, it just the case of dialling in whatever you like, I think on most of the presets I’d probably use most settings on minimal, but that’s just me. For the money it is it’s well worth it if you were to invest. Thanks Steve.

I love my Mariana, and use it for ambient tracks, quite often in conjunction with my Slicer. My one criticism is that it could really benefit from the addition of a mix knob. Glad to find a concurring opinion.

Thought I'd chime in again, possibly with something helpful. You never played the Kraken setting right in the middle, where it's doubling the note. It's like a scary slapback with something extra to it. Thing is, it can be tough to dial in, as it's extremely sensitive around 12 o'clock. Very cool sound though, especially when you add other things to it, i.e. OD, other reverb(s), delay, etc.

Just wondering if you guys understand that ambience music requires some drone chords. That gives you a fully wet, flowing harmonic, rather than your dry single string pick-attack sound. If you demo an ambience pedal, best to use some more ambience guitar technique. Just sayin.

I like this pedal for the price great for experimenting with sounds... I think it gets the creative juices flowing! Not sure if you have reviewed the Caline CP 80 purple repeat reverb pedal but a comparison would be great!👍☺

Just won one of these for cheap, looking forward to messing around with it. Honestly I didn't hear too much that wowed me, but I did like the Propeller setting enough to make it worthwhile. Maybe I can dial in a Madison Cunningham (if you're not aware, become so) thing with one of the vibrato/pitch shift settings.

@@willfowler8540 They're really not, the Mariana is extremely disappointing. If there were wet and dry controls it might be useable, but as it is it just makes everything sound horrible. You're better off getting a reverb that does one thing well rather than one that does 7 things badly

Hey guys as always a great review, thanks. However I have got to say this pedal is not for me. This pedal is "out there" and all of the sounds to me sounded too modulated and to far from the original of what your playing. I would also question how much the A and B knob was actually doing as I could see you turning it but could not really hear much difference. But that's just me. sure others will love it.

in the right hands this is a good pedal but sorry guy's your just over setting it and makes it sound to harsh and unpleasent setup right this pedal is great for landscape sounds

It is a toy...the quality is next generation from what one expects. If they put all their eggs in one basket they could have given us one good plate or just one good spring that you could actually use in an average band,

Yeah it’s a bit overkill...but some of the sounds are pretty cool!! But it would have been nice to maybe focus on fewer reverbs but with more options to tweak the sound
