Lewis Noble has lived and worked in Derbyshire since 1996. His focus lies in the physical and emotional impact of the landscape on the senses and the effect this experience has on us.

I love the way the canvas drapes and the uneven edges. Maybe the rusty marks will react in an interesting fashion with the primer and paint... looking forward to how this progresses!

I love the stains so much, I'd probably use a clear gesso in order to keep it

It looks like at the top where the eyelets are is a channel no dissimilar to one where you can run a rod through. I put such channels on my textiles to hang them….I make quilts by hand and the get hung onto walls. My thought was to have a wider channel, wide enough to run a flat 3 inch wide but THINNER board thru it to facilitate hanging it on your stone wall
