When Yorkshire pudding is confusing enough to foreigners, we raise the bar with "Toad in the hole!" (Bangers in Yorkshire pud). Home made is the best for sure. My own mum never made them, but when I stayed over at my bezzie mates his mum made the best ever, with onion gravy too. I get cravings for total childhood stodge now and then and this trash £1 stuff will do the job but I will always whip up some Bisto to go with it ;)

You should reduce the temp by 40C down to 160C, and 20mins, then check with an airfeyer, They act like a high power fan oven, so dont need the high temp average in a big volume oven as that is from a direct heat very close to the food. The small size means they heat up fast, and dont waste heat and time heating a large oven, so time needs to also be reduced.
@Matt19matt192 жыл бұрын
I cook most of the stuff in mine at 165c. Also I found that if I took the shelf out (the one with holes in for if you're cooking anything where fat comes out) and whatever I'm cooking sits lower down it cooks a lot better and doesn't burn
@brianhiggins30902 жыл бұрын

Hi Gareth. Yes a couple of minutes less than predicted would've been better. Maybe drizzle a little oil around the edges halfway through cooking may help with the pastry sticking issue. But for a quid it's not bad. Nothing beats the tried tested home cooked through.. Does it 🤤 Cheers Gareth 👍😀

I know that to get a yorkshire or toad in't hole to rise you want plenty of heat from underneath. I also know that my 14 in 1 Ninja when baking only heats using the top element, yours is probably the same. I am not surprised the batter didn't rise much, it is just a Ninja thing! for a quid that actually looked okay, give it some gravy or maybe some baked beans to juice it up a bit, it would be a good cheap meal.
@BaldFoodieGuy2 жыл бұрын
yes heat from the top no good here.
@jayoakes78742 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it would help with this but a piece of tin foil on top the food will protect the top lets the bottom defrost a lil and then you can get they foil outta there and finish it up.

That's great for £1. Toad int hole is supposed to be crispy. Nowt worse than a soggy toad int hole. Be lovely with some beans and cheese.
