Very interesting observation. Here’s the thing… just take a look at all the bands out there - including all the ones that even play in dive bars throughout the entire world. Now look at TTWS & put them on a scale with all those bands right?. Where do they fall. Well they are definitely not ‘unknown’ or ‘undiscovered’. They do have international ‘fame’ & ‘popularity’. TTWS does not have the ‘sound’ wanted consistently for main stream radio. But they sure as hell got plenty of ‘college town’ alternative play. If they didn’t regroup back in 2011 or whenever it was…. They’d be more obscure

She said, "I'm fine, I'm okay" Cover up your trembling hands There's indecision when you know you ain't got nothing left When the good times never stay And the cheap thrills always seem to fade away When will we fall? When will we fall down? Jump back, gotta get out of here Been too, too long this time Jump back, gotta get out of here When will, when will we fall down She hates her life, she hates her skin She even hates her friends Tries to hold on to all the reputations she can't mend And there's some chance we could fail But the last time, someone's always there for bail When will we fall? When will we fall down? Jump back, gotta get out of here Been too, too long this time Jump back, gotta get out of here When will, when will we fall down? When will we, when will we fall down? When will we fall? When will, when will When will we fall? She said, "I'm fine, I'm okay" Cover up your trembling hands There's indecision when you know you ain't got nothing left For the last time conscience calls For a good friend, I was never there at all When will we fall? When will we fall down? Jump back, gotta get out of here Been too, too long this time Jump back, gotta get out of here When will, when will we fall down? When will we, when will we fall down? When will we fall?

That's what got ME on here last night. I remember these guys when their songs were new, but I was just barely legal drinking age. Last night, at 50, I was in Tijuana Flats in Fort Myers, and this song was playing. I paid attention to the chorus line so I could look this song up that way. It had been so long, I had no clue who this band was but I knew by the tune that it was definitely early to mid nineties. It's just obvious.

As an armchair historian, it is my duty to give you this fast, historical fact: The dance marathon you see here, was a real phenomenon of the Great Depression of the 1930s. Naturally, the music was Jazz and Swing, rather than Rock, but this was still the general idea. Because literally everyone went broke within a month's time, people signed up for these dance-a-thons for two reasons - A) to distract themselves from the bleak reality of life of extreme and desperate poverty, and B) to try to win the sizeable cash prize....so they can sustain for another day or two. Participants would dance until they dropped from exhaustion, as these typically went on for two or three days.....straight!. You couldn't stop. NO breaks. Just non-stop dancing. Some men even had to prop up their exhausted wives, pretending to still be dancing, but actually just standing there, swaying side to side. I believe even a death or two resulted. Terrible when you stop to think about it.

This is such a cool song. The video reminds me of a film called "They Shoot Horses Don't They".

Always loved me some Toad. They had such a great sound. The bands of the 90's came and blew away the "Hair bands" of the 80's. But then they just went away. Lost somehow. I never understood that.
