We had a great day of fishing at Lake George in Mammoth lakes California. Although we were interrupted by the rain and a bear encounter, we were able to tie into a big rainbow trout.

Love that lake man. The first part of the video is my favorite spot hit like 6 and caught a beautiful brook on Friday Morning until the crowds came. Also seen a bear on the mountain.

Looks like the same bear that came by us last Saturday the 24th! (haha I know all bears look alike). I’m looking for the hiker who took video of my 13 yr old son confronting a bear 15 feet from him when he was fishing alone….

No but that might be a good idea since I want to do more backcountry hikes. For the most part the ones I’ve encountered cruising along the shoreline haven’t been hostile at all. (Knock on wood).

@@hovsepdov Yes, pretty much. I usually walk a little further away from the front area of this lake because there’s usually a lot more people in the front.
