Clearly, you have not played the Japanese long enough. Theres 3 problems with that logic. 1: Over half the Rising Storm maps are in jungles. Good luck trying to find where your mortar will land, much less where the US team are. 2: The advantage of seeing angle line only works in either a completely flat and open area or when you have a huge height advantage. Only 1-2 maps have either of those. 3: There is still tracking where the other team is(helped by Recon Planes), guessing the distance they are from you, adjusting your position, and still hoping that it lands even close to the group. It isn't like calling in a Mortar Strike where you can just point where mortars will land on the map.

To me the Japanese victory gives off vibes of the war being over too, you see the ruins left by it but with the flag flying over the mountains with the rising sun in the background it's like a new dawn had come for Asia, with Japan after all those centuries having become the dominant empire in Asia, kicking out the colonial powers and creating an independent Asian power, ready to rebuild and prosper. I really liked the symbolism. But then I saw the American victory cutscene and realised it was the same.

The Soviet victory theme is the Guards song by Red Army Choir. Not only did you win the battle, Stalin himself might have recognized your service, and your entire unit may be given the Guards distinction for your bravery in battle!

And if it's not bad enough. Some of the historical images in the Japanese Defeat cutscene is a picture from Hiroshima a few days after the atomic bomb drop. The others are from Iwo Jima during the last days of fighting there, the last 300 men survivor just before they commit suicide or shot to death by the American.

Rising Storm songs are the best. Both are bittersweet, you can feel the exhaustion of the war. Especially USA victory one. It's been a long fight but you won it. In the defeat songs however, you can feel all your efforts were in vain.

After reading some coments I need to give my posture. In my opinion, the soviet victory theme is the best one. After all battles, dead, suffering, you hear one of these soviet songs, calling for a figth against the invaders of *our* land and the power of the red army. When I was a child I loved (and i still loving) the ww2 soviet songs, and that moment was and is very simbolic for me. I feel that i'm a soviet soldier full of bravery and wrath to the enemy figthing for my homeland as the real soldiers (Even preferring the german side cause i like german weapons, uniforms and history). We all agree that soviet ww2 songs are beatifull, and hearing it in a "battle" as the victory award as a soviet soldier just make it...Epic

Well at weekends there will an average 1-2 full servers and atleast 200- 400 players are online. But it is worth a try. Also you can play with bots. Trust me, it is still a gold out of all ww2 shooters out there.
